Have been meaning to get some of my pictures up here to share my great day at St. James Park! This was taken at the half. Canny was putting in his order fer 2 pies, after trying, unsuccessfully to nick a pie off the lad in front of him. Fairsy is lookin across the pitch towards the owners box trying to ascertain what the "Cockney Mafia" was dining on. Anyone else notice how Churchillian Canny looks?

Okay fans of the Cannyokie thread it’s time to reopen it cause a proper training session did occur at the famous Waldo’s this past Saturday night. But for those hopping to read about large breasted groupies or pissing on light poles will be somewhat disappointed. Careful plans were put in place for this meet because the primary purpose of Canny’s visit was to surprise Mrs. Broon whom he has not seen since sometime this past summer. He arrived with his usual bouquet of flowers and was able to spend some time and cheer her up with “that Geordie charm” that does in all the lasses in these parts. She was surprised and really enjoyed the visit as it was a nice change from the day to day drudgery she is experiencing now. Having accomplished his mission of cheering up the Missus and encouraging her to keep up the good fight it was time for some song and drink. We arrive at Waldo’s and do indeed get the complimentary first round free as we are now established regulars. I took along my dodgy tablet which still had pictures on it from my trip to Newcastle. I showed Lisa, the “singin barmaid” and a few of the other frequenters of Waldo’s a picture of one the Mags wearing the Waldo’s Coat of Arms tee shirts taken at the meet prior the Citeh Match in May. They were in fact wildly amused that someone halfway around the world would be wearing a Waldo’s tee shirt. Canny did his bit, sang several songs, Moody Blues, Jethro Tull and I don’t recall the rest. And, as always he did himself proud as he always gets a good round of applause. There was one bit a mischief caused by a patron that recognized Canny was wearing a Newcastle football shirt and decided to come over and give us some Manure grief. These people are like horsesh#t on the road over here, all over the place. Fortunately for us this dullard was wearing a Baltimore Orioles baseball cap and when I inquired how HIS baseball team was doing he shut right up. His team had been eliminated from the playoffs the previous night by, yup, the New York Yankees! So that was the last we heard of the Whiskey Nosed Gang for the evening. The rest of the evening was uneventful, we had some much needed laughs and regaled some good times past. I left Canny off at his mother in laws house. Last sight he was fumbling with the front door lock. Got a text from him the next day with something about having some hair of the dog! Attachments:
