Have an awful feeling in my waters Canny Goat and The Dogman are stuck in the Bedlington triangle trying to find a wi-fi hotspot. Mind you they could still be waiting to pass through immigration control in terminal five at Heathrow........... CWL

Broon thanks for an excellent summation of most things Canny. Sincerely hope that one of these events can be arranged on English, if not European soil some time in the near future. Your report on the social side of things is of eqaual quality to one of CWl'S match reports. Great stuff. Canny does sleep at matches both by his own admission and only several well directed nudges from myself kept him awake in the second half against WBA. But let's face it even the little fella can suffer from jetlag. PS - Time you learned to swim Thanks Fairsy, that awful high praise to even be mentioned in the same sentence as CWL. I’m somewhat afraid that I’m straying off the football side of things and some of the more serious members on this forum will think this stoof is silly and boorish. Plus it’s been documented several times here my spelling is shite. Must admit I am somewhat dyslexic when it comes to posting with a throbbin heed. As far as coming over fer a meet, I’m all in, but I fear Master Yoda, er Canny, is lukewarm on the idea. I’d be lost without him, not knowing the lay of the land and all that. When we were still in the cup fight he said, “if they make Wembley we’re going over even if you have to sell a kidney”! Then CWL posted something about a possible London meet that didn’t self destruct in time and the Brighton match went pear shaped. It is my life’s desire to go to SJP and see a match in person. To cheer with the Geordies, sing with the Geordies and oh yeah, drink with the Geordies! Canny introduced me to the Entertainers and KK that many years ago and I’ve been supportin em ever since. I’ve been infected with Toonitus. So pick your meet day for the spring, if I can do it, will consider a solo venture. If that dosen’t happen, next xmas when the lad goes over to visit his mum is another possibility. He sez then I’ll have a place to stay. Cheers, Broon Every now and again I’ll go back a read some of the stuff on this thread fer a hoot. I was struck by this particular post way back in February proclaiming my desire to one day visit the Toon. I guess all good things really do come to those who wait. None of this would have happened fer me without the help of some of the people on this forum. Tickets were purchased, training sessions were arraigned all with some of your help. But the person most responsible for this coming true was, my best mate, my fishin partner, my footie tutor, the first person in “the Order of the Waldo”, Cannyman! We tease him about being vertically challenged but in my eyes his stature is much larger than my frame. A generous man who has a zest for life, loves a good laugh and is deeply proud of his heritage. Thank you Canny for making this trip and dream come true fer me, you are a giant amongst us. Cheers, Broon

Has Mrs Canny hacked into the account of the vertically challenged smiter we all know and love? This new poster under the guise of the little waster is causing me some concern..... Could it be that alter ego Harry Spall has finally manged to take over his multiple personalities? Where is the back biting sarcasm, the baiting of his fellow mags, chats with Jack, tea in the evening, the tales of late night training, soulful renditions of Elton John's greatest hits, illicit meetings with large women and young men at Waldo's. Not to mention marking out his territory on various lamp posts throughout Scranton P.A. Oops! err! said I wouldn't mention that....oh! well too late now I guess. Will the Cannyoke thread ever be the same....? CWL
