It turns out that many women have had Breast Implants only to find these Implants are faulty and may cause health problems. Obviously the advise is to have them removed but should the NHS pay for this operation?.

No the NHS shouldn't! I don't think any vanity plastic surgery should be done on the NHS anyway. The only plastic surgery that should be done is for medical reasons - and I don't mean medical in like a woman whose a bit paranoid, because her breasts are not like Jordans'!!

Didn't you read my post??? There is nothing wrong with plastic surgery for medical reasons. What they shouldn't pay for is vanity reasons. If you mean the medical aspect of "exploding" boobs, then my view is if there is danger to health, then take them out, but don't put any more in unless they pay for them. The private clinics who did them should be made to pay, not the taxpayer. The NHS is not in the business of helping vain people look better. When they are strapped for cash, they have better things to spend the money on, like genuine sick people!!

So if a private clinic implnted dodgy implants but refuse to remove them, should the NHS do it at our expense?.

CWL, I thought this was a discussion forum.
No wonder no body posts on here.
I think no, the NHS should not pay. And if these women suffer because their implants explode then tough sh1t.

It was on the news that the NHS will remove them if the private clinics won't. But they won't replace them, apparently 95% was done privately, and 5% on the NHS. They will replace the 5% that they done though, which is fair enough.

Not convinced you are here to discuss anything. From what I have read so far it appears more about promoting or imposing your view of the World on other Forum members. You have been granted approval to participate through your members account. That is a privilege approved by Forum Admin it's not a right to you as an individual so if it doesn't meet your needs why not go off and find somewhere that does. CWL

CWL why are you so edgy?.
The thread is asking opinions on faulty implants, but sets you off on the attack.
You need to learn to chill out.

How can a thread based on a topical subject of faulty breast implants and whether the NHS should pay for corrective surgery, be regarded as Trolling?.
Can you explain?.
Strange attitude for a Moderator if you ask me. Is the forum not allowed to discuss this topic?.

I CWL's point is (and he does have a point) is that you don't actually discuss things i.e give your opinion. Even when people answer you continually ask questions instead of putting your point across. A discussion is two or more people discussing things and putting their opinions across, not one continually asking questions - that would be interrogation!! ;D

I have, I said the NHS should not pay. But CWL is the oly one on this thread who has not given an opinion, only went on the attack. So I'm puzzled as to the attitude of CWL and now you. Pretty aggressive moderation.
Oh and you gave CWL's gender away.
