This situation is exactly what the NHS is about, taking on responsibility that no one else will do. The private clinics who refuses to remove the implants should have their licences reviewed.

I was expecting something more interesting as a response. Sadly a lack of interlect, can only offer some image pasted from a movie website. Not a bit of it, just lazy like yourself Rummy. What with your vacuous posts and feable attempts to use words you are unable to even spell correctly. I would hate for other members to get the wrong idea and that you may be considered stupid. Maybe, I'll get the NHS to pay for the operation.
But it hasn't enough money for yours.

I read today that The Harley Medical Group and Transform, amongst others, are refusing to remove and replace these implants- that they "fitted "- for free-and what is really shocking me is that the Government has little power to make them act I do believe that if they have fitted potentially dangerous implants then it is their responsibility to remove them free of charge. And replace them if required. www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2012/jan/11/breast-implants-private-refuse-replace

If the private clinics refuse then I think the NHS should take them out, and give the clinics the bills! But I don't think the NHS should replace them though, unless they were put in for medical reasons. If it was for vanity reasons, then tough! If they want Jordanesque boobs then they can pay for them!

I think this whole thing smacks of vanity and greed from beginning to end (apart from, as Ann1 says, the implants were for medical reasons.)
