Something I have been searching for has been published today,(and he`s not finished yet). Transfer activity in Ashley's time has been frantic to say the least and the figures up until the promotion season, have him spending just short of £50 million on players but recouping around £68.5 million. A PROFIT OF JUST SHORT OF £19 MILLION.
Since promotion though, this profit margin has rocketed with an up to date figure (including Cabaye) of a spend totalling £14.5 million with a sales recouping of £38.5 million (including Nolan, who has a clause in his contract for add ons), SO A PROFIT OF £24 MILLION HERE. That's his whole reason to have a football club!! He's not here for the love of NUFC, or even care if they win anything! All he cares about is how much profit he can get! He's getting rid of good players and replacing them with cheap deals, who are not paid well (yeah I know, 20/30k pw is not to be sniffed at!! ;D) As soon as the new players show any potential, he bloody sells them for a profit, and the whole thing starts again!!!

Ashley is looking for players who cost nothing, who are young and have potential, he then gets them on long contracts, then sells them a year or two before the contact finishes at a tidy profit. This is not going to work, the whole team therefore is constantly up for sale regardless of who they are and what effect they have on the club if they are sold. Just think, Shearer would have been sold, he would not have reached Jackie Milburns goal tally, even if he was scoring as he was he would be out on his neck. Ashley believes he is sitting on a golden egg as boss of NUFC I wonder how long it will take for the penny to drop. ATB |

Loyalty works both ways. Enrique can't be blamed for his stance. I hope we get off to a good start in the forthcoming season, because if the wheel comes of I'm not sure how many will stand up to be counted.

Most on this forum are, I am glad to say, against Ashley and his cohorts. Looking around other forums, however people are defending him left, right and center. Many seem to think he is here for the good of the club. Boy are they in for a bitter surprise one of these fine days. |

I can't see how everyone cannot see that this is what he is doing!! You don't see the top 4 teams using this strategy, which is why they are in the top 4!!!!! That should tell people something!!!

Ann he is only here to fill his wallet ,he has to be making well over the 10m each year ,and the worse thing about it he is getting away with it ,the fans need to pull together and show him enough is enough,  |

I used to think it would be good just to have one thread but you have to move on, it is a changing landscape, yes we want Ashley to leave but we cannot do anything about it, there are too many fans who will still turn up no matter what. Look what the fat b@stard has done to the strip, look what he`s doing with the team spirit, look what he is doing to the players who want to finish their careers at the club, the guy does not give a sh*t about the players, the people of Newcastle, or its football club.
