No blame apportioned to Thompson House or the Mirror group itself............... More a case of my frustration reaching the point of no return that this media outlet continues to print such utter garbage. In many ways they have become as much a part of The Fat Controllers media machine than his other spin doctors at Gallowgate Towers. Don't believe for one minute they will ask searching questions or risk facing the wrath of this regime as much as they did of Freddies empire................ For a start the ubiquitous insider revealing all the sordid details of Ashley's actions would probably be put out of a job................. thereby saving him more money! No wonder they have also started a new campaign to try and discredit the voices using the internet. One place they are unable to influence sufficiently to stop supporters from voicing their opinions. That said the official Club site is not exactly a fountain of accurate or up to date information half the time either. CWL  |

OK Pardupe, you just lost your Captain, Barton has stated that he, Jonas and Jose are next out the door. You just lost your dressing room. Never mind Ben Arfa and Gosling are back. Consider them your "players in" in this window plus a decent frenchie who will more than likely disappear when he sees the error of judgement he has made. APee having sold his soul to The Fat Controller  is there as much to do as he is told as he is to actually do anything else. When he does open his mouth to offer up his pearls of football wisdom it is pure cliche and bluster straight from the spin machine of Ashley. For me Pardew is judged on results and nothing more................ So far the jury is still out. Although as with Hughton I have a gut feeling APee will get the chop somewhere down the line regardless should he fall from grace with he who must be obeyed! APee and Lambsarse are just bit players in the show run by Ring Master Cashley............. As for the players and squad I think we can do nothing but wait and see what pans out up to the end of August. Then pray to whatever passes for Football Gods that another season following The Toon doesn't contain abject misery. CWL  |

Having somehow managed to retain Premier League status and football again for next season I took the only positive the Club achieved so gave him the benefit of the doubt. IMO it would have been churlish to have done anything else. Next season he has to do it from the off without the benefit of a points haul from another manager. Then we shall see what he is made of and the way things are going it will be down to his selection of whatever signings The Fat Controller sanctions as well. I still believe APee is on a hiding to nothing with our most benevolent owner ruling the roost. As like Hughton and to an extent even Shearer or Keegan before him he can only work with what he is given or allowed to have. As team manager they are also there to take the hit should it fail despite the fact supporters know who is really culpable. CWL |
