Evening Chronicle Thurs. 3.Feb. ALAN PARDEW has insisted that Andy Carroll’s departure is not affecting dressing room morale at St James’ Park and branded any such talk today as "ridiculous" It is obvious that there is something sadly wrong at the club. Where is the famed dressing room morale? Has the flame been extinguished? The players must have been affected by the Carroll transfer, it would affect any team wanting to improve its position. Ashley had to take the money it was too much to ignore. Perhaps Carroll was not worth the amount paid, the disgusting bit was that no replacement was forthcoming even though they knew Liverpool would pay over the odds.  ATB |

But lets give him some credit Fans will always go on past reputation and slaughter him because he works under Ashley. What choice does he have. He's just trying his best.
