Ok lets give the guy some credit.....As much as you could give a Manager who`s team have had 1 win in nine games!! It's funny how you time your appearances whenever we lose... (Just saying) No-one born out of Newcastle can understand the feelings that most have for their club. My dad took me to a friends house to watch Newcastle win the 1955 FA cup. My first game as a paying supporter was in 1961. I was at all the home games when we won the Fairs cup. I have seen us win games ive seen us lose....More. I have seen great players in a black and white strip ive seen a lot more bad ones. I saw Keegan play in a Newcastle strip. Keegan as a Manager was a revelation he gave the Geordies pride. SBR gave us the same as Keegan. Freddy Shepherd made us look fools. Ashley has carried on where Shepherd left us..... You will never understand what its like to support a team which should be light years ahead of where it is. You should try being a bit less condescending.

You will never understand what its like to support a team which should be light years ahead of where it is. You should try being a bit less condescending. Let me start off by saying- I never doubted you are a proper NUFC supporter. You are black and white through and through following the club up and down the country. Fair play and RESPECT to you Capt M. However, putting myself in your shoes I can see the manner in which so many years of under-achievement and not winning any trophies has contributed to you having a very pessimistic mindset (it's only natural I would think). I'm of an opposite mindset. Optimistic to the extent people will think I'm naive..deluded (which is what you lot think I am). No wonder we clash!...One is black, the other is white Also please allow me to say one more thing (and don't take it the wrong way) - The fact that you use all your experiences (which we all know is an advantage you have over me) in an argument to quieten me is ... well...I don't know the right word for it but it is sort of a cheap blow (I feel). Please put yourself in my shoes now. Respect is earned Capt M. You can't demand it or buy it. If this is about you proving you are a better supporter than me then please go ahead and think what you want. I would never judge a fellow fans devotion and allegiance to the club based on if he / she is born in Newcastle or whether he's supported the club for 40..50..60..70 or a 100 years....It all comes down to the respecting fellow supporters views because at the end of the day we are all NUFC fans. If you can't treat me as an equal and give me enough respect then I can't do anything more. In my defense I have always stated my views and never got personal despite being called names by you. Hey if I dish it out I can take it as well. You ought to realize that others might have different views and all those who disagree with you are not necessarily naive or not well-informed. Sometimes it is okay to agree to disagree. I might be younger than you but even I can see that this is getting childish. Lets start off again and have discussion / debates and not arguments. I've extended the hand of friendship, it's upto you to accept or deny. Your call Captain...

I've extended the hand of friendship, it's upto you to accept or deny. Your call Captain... Anyone who takes positives from the way the club is being run is beyond reason. I think your degree has made you into a different individual possibly made you over-confident. I was always told to respect my elders but perhaps that is not so where you come from. That said it does not mean I expect respect from you. You are young there is a weakness there as you will not disclose how young, I have 64 years of life behind me how much do you have? The club is struggling again because the man that owns it believes that cheap is good but I would like to bet that does not extend to his personal lifestyle. His Director and his Manager are totally devoid of passion and truthfulness. Pardew is in the job not for his attributes but because he is mates with Llambias, the results prove he is no better than Hughton. Your views on Carroll are not intelligent or balanced, I would expect that view from someone with a chip on his shoulder. As far as friendship is concerned I do appreciate your support for NUFC but I think there will be other barriers along the way to spoil the fun. ATB

CAPT M you said, Bet Carroll understood real well Do you see my point about him being a traitor?! Being a professional footballer is one thing but the pride and honour of playing for your boyhood club and wearing the No9 ain't! ... People born out of Newcastle don't understand the feelings most have for the club...Do me a favour please! Could you please calrify what sort of barriers just so that I am prepared? Or are you saying you'd like to see me have my faith tested by these barriers?

Your traitor remark is both ridiculous and silly. You were not born in the area, its a tribal ethic. I do welcome support from both other areas of the UK and abroad. Barriers will remain in place, I cannot see you changing.

Don't mean to be disrespectful but you are making less convincing arguments as this discussion is progressing It's actually becoming your trademark

Capt. May I recommend you do as myself, Marky and partly CWL and leave him to argue with himself in an empty room. If only there were an "ignore" button.

Hey guys....just getting on in the drift of this.........outside opinion.......my tongue in cheek suggestion that Magpie has become a lot like Nick reminds me of the way to deal with Nick..............swim on by my friends......it worked before. Magpie, with respect, truthfully you have changed since the old EC board, not better , not worse, but more opinionated. For those who remember you previously, it could be interpreted as being less respectful. Done deal for me

But then whats this forum for if I can't say what I feel? I'll tell you why my opinions aren't taken seriously - it's because I am young and not born in Newcastle. This is the main reason, any other reason is just to cover these two and make it sound less offendable. Anyways I have decided to leave. It's not a matter of if but when. Fortunately or unfortunately (depends on how you see it) I have made some good friends out here and it isn't so easy for me just to say bye and go. I have to time it properly.
