Two sides to the whole saga. Each one will have their own theory. The thing is we'll never know.

He just signed a 5 year contract. No one can push him out. He wanted out.

Mind you fatty would have been thrilled when Carroll handed it in and wouldn't have done anything to stop him. But the fact is Carroll deserted his home town club. Sad but true. Anyway I'm moving on. We still got Shola

There has to be a bit of both but I think on this occasion we may just get wind of it in the future. Could Ashley be planning a derparture of his own? ?? Have a look at this when you get chance.....interesting take on things and confirms some suspicions of mine www.nufc.com/ look under "Canny Kenny Kops Carroll" Also check out the video interview with 'Arry Redknapp on Sky Sports Transfer Clockwatch regarding Crouch coming to Toon on the back of Carroll's sale....also interesting choice of words

I have spent a good deal of time reading today's newspapers, forum blogs etc and in most cases they come down on the side of Andy Caroll. It seems the nation is beginning to see Ashley for the money grabbing bully he is. Why am I not surprised? Pity it took so long.

The bottom line in all of this is Carroll did not have to sign on the bottam line. END of. It was pound notes.

Andy Carroll will wear the number 9 shirt for Liverpool. The name on the back will just be Roll - the Scousers have already nicked his "Car" (courtesy of someone on another forum I use ;D)

You're right Polly, it's all about money. That's why we the fans will never see any of it It just went the same way as the Given money and the Milner money

Just been watching the news, and I don't know who to believe TBH!!! My default position is to blame Ashley. Whichever way you cut it, there is a lot of greed around!!! It's about time the FA stepped in, and put a cap on both wages and transfer fees, it's just getting too ridiculous!!!

"Andy Carroll was forced to leave" - He's the man who kissed the badge and said he loved the club....I won't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.
Polly hits the nail on the head. Carroll handed in a transfer request. No one forced him as no one could force him. He was on a new 5 year deal! Even Ashley couldn't force him out. The manager wanted him to stay. The other players wanted him there. The fans wanted him at NUFC. But Carroll wanted to leave. What's so hard to understand here.
To all except Polly - believe what you want to but Carroll is to blame here.
In the end its the fans who suffer though.
Roll on Fulham...

Have a good time Magpie.why dont you make a banner up ,put ASHLEY and his muppets up for sale.lol Magpie i am confused about carroll he said he was called into lambeus's office and was told to put in a transfer request as he was not wanted at newcastle.if this is true it is bad who do they think they are.at the end of the day Carrol must have been very upset to send text to chronicle for the fans etc.surly if this was untrue FATTY would have Carrol sued wouldnt he? ?
