Just had the best news I could wish for as a birthday present  After an absolutely hellish week when my mother seemed to have every complication under the sun and some really scary moments,and we had got to a point of wondering if she actually would come out of hospital at all Ive just found out she finally was well enough to have the stent procedure done. Was completed this afternoon-three stents and the surgeon is very pleased.After a month I finally feel I can breathe a little easier. There are further health issues but its looking like we'll have her home at last in a couple of days. I cant tell you how much the support on here has helped me cope with this and I wanted to thank you all for helping me get through it all. Really is a happy birthday tonight  |

Thats great news, Shadow, my Mother always had poor health in her latter days & like your Mam was in and out of hospital. She used to hate it and so much wanted to be well. Anyway, its good to hear things are progressing well....especially on you're birthday!  |

Thanks roma Man its like a hundred ton weight has been lifted off my shoulders.Her diabetes is also more controlled now which is a relief to all of us. We arent out of the woods yet but for the first time since October we've finally had some good news. |

Thats great news, Shadow, my Mother always had poor health in her latter days & like your Mam was in and out of hospital. She used to hate it and so much wanted to be well. Anyway, its good to hear things are progressing well....especially on you're birthday! She did hate it Jazz-if there was a grumpier patient Ive yet to meet them and its been hard on all of us-my dad especially  . But he said she was a changed woman tonight-up and chatting-reckon shes been worrying herself sick myself.After all the doom and gloom we had last week its just lovely not to be sitting here worrying for one night |

Well-turns out my mam is getting nearer to home-as in being transferred back to the QE anyway.Not news I was hoping to hear today but then again we did know that there are a couple more things needing investigating. I'm staying positive tho-shes had the needed op and thats one less thing to worry about. I feel sorry for the QE nurses mind-shes not gonna be an easy patient  |
