i've seen Bruce Springsteen live 4 times - probably the best "live" performer around for me.
Back in the day, Gino Washington and the Ram Jam Band weren't too shabby. Neither was Long John Baldry or Spencer Davis Group with Stevie Winwood. Mustn't forget Clapton or John Mayall.

The Boss was not someone that I grew up with as a teenager and then into my twenties, but more a case of fully appreciating as I got older. Can't say I like all his stuff to be honest, but hell of a lot of the early material for me is brilliant. Certainly get good value when seeing him live as well....He was here last year for The Wrecking Ball Tour. Amazing when I now think back to who I saw live during seventies and eighties, so here's another starter for ten... Manfred Mann's Earth Band Humble Pie Rod Stewart and The Faces BeBop Deluxe AC/DC Tangerine Dream Thin Lizzy Whitesnake Dire Straits Lindisfarne Most of them at The City Hall, although Friday 'Rock Night' at The Mayfair brings back more memories. Born in Howdon, (HIGH Howdon!), Wallsend.....then Tynemouth, then Cullercoats, then Blyth.....and back to Tynemouth, well, right on the border between Tynemouth and North Shields to be exact. For 32 years lived on and off various islands/rocks off English/Welsh coast as well as points/headlands of same coasts.......so roughly 16 years of doing that I would say. My "youthfull" (under 50) years leisure time was spent in, like a lot on here, in random pubs/clubs etc. Notably my places were the Downbeat Club and both the "Old" New Orleans Club and the "New" New Orleans Club and the Club Agogo, Newcastle. The Northumberland Arms (Jungle), Karlsson Club and Cresta Club, North Shields. Beach Club/Shoreline Club, Ruperts, La Strada and Kismet (South Shields) were also on my list. Not forgetting the Mayfair and the Oxford in Newcastle.......then the Cavendish, Greys Club........etc etc....the list goes on............misspent youth blending into middle age! ;D

Born in Wallsend - then to Dublin - can't remember that: back to Wallsend then on to High Howdon (was there ever a Low Howdon?) Married and off to Percy Main, then off to Ontario Canada - best move ever.
Watch the NUFC games regularly as hubby is a fan. I also like the Man U games.
