The transfer of Loic Remy is becoming another in a long list of mind boggling ineptitude from those in charge of matters when it comes to getting a player through the door at Newcastle. For me that responsibility lies with Deadly Decka Lambast**d and to the best of my understanding the third in the holy trinity at The Toon, Club Secretary: Lee Charnley. Reports coming in from all over about events........... Including Sky Sports who have stated that Marseille forward Loic Remy would undergo a medical at QPR on Tuesday, dashing the hopes that Newcastle had of signing the player, despite agreeing a fee. A number of blogs and twitter state French radio announced that QPR, United and a third un-named club had met the asking price for Remy. Even ASBO tweeted to the effect that Remy was after all set for a move to Loftus Road and not The Toon despite earlier saying he was on his way to Newcastle. According to The Guardian instead of travelling to Newcastle as scheduled, Remy remained in London for talks with QPR. Meantime unconfirmed reports earlier in the day had placed him on Tyneside, while Deckas favourite rag The Daily Snail claimed he was in Newcastle on Sunday. Taking the madness one step beyond, Monday teatime saw French football sites reporting a successful medical at Newcastle for Remy and agreement on a four and a half year contract. However there was nothing from either club to back that up. All of which is just adding to the mountain of frustration I have with The Toon as governed by our most benevolent owner. He is killing my feelings for The Club and this definitely could be my last season.......following professional football. Thank God for non league and junior football which is far more honest and at times a damn site more enjoyable. WL

The point is who is in real charge and its not Pardew. I think Ashley has had a wake up call alright but you cannot call the shots when you are right in the clarts If they want Remy they have to make up their minds to get him. As far as im concerned the guy has baggage, he may not be the answer they are looking for. They have dragged their feet-wasted too much time pussy footing around as usual trying to penny pinch. Apart from that we now have Benny boy with itchy feet obviously knows what Ba is being paid, its all falling apart and it the fans who will suffer but so will Ashley. Keep the faith you are the stalwart. ATB

The club needs direction and the way to get that direction is to appoint a real Manager and back him with cash, not go mad but back him. Get rid of the casino pin brain and bring in a chairman who shows some respect to the fans. It needs to happen now before real panic sets in, before the fans (like you) start walking away from it all. ATB

Capt'n I'm at the point where whether Remy came or as it's beginning to look more likely doesn't, along with any associated baggage, is almost secondary. The thing that bugs the hell out of me is that the people in charge of dealing with every single aspect of running NUFC repeatedly get it wrong more than they get it right. I now include every single one of them from those at the top down to the manager, coaches and players. It's the raising and dashing of what little hope I have left for The Toon which is driving me away. Barring about four or five years in the last fifty The Toon has suffered from the most diabolical mismanagement you could imagine. Even to the point where the reality defies anything you could have actually made up! This latest mob are simply proving to be as equally inept as many before them and I've had my fill. No more hype, bullshit, false dawns, unfulfilled promises, lies, more lies and pure fantasy............it all stops this season. I keep hearing it's a business rather than an entertainment. Well perhaps it's time for me as a customer to finally say I don't like the product and ain't going to buy it anymore. Least of all from our current most benevolent shopkeeper, certainly not at the prices being charged, even if I can afford to meet them. The make it for rock bottom costs, stack it high and sell it for whatever we can approach may work for Mikey with Sports Direct. However when it comes to Football and NUFC adopting that approach will only lead to failure and I sure as hell don't go to SJP every other week to see us lose. The fact I'm now questioning the very reasons I go and support the side is a damning inditement of what damage the current ownership have done during their tenure in charge. It's too close to call regarding my undying love affair with The Toon...........the divorce may be messy. WL

Unfortunately this is how it will continue. QPR most likely has offered more money than Ashley'd ever want to offer. I think though that they were close to signing Remy only QPR put in another last minute bid and started waving the bills his way. It's very frustrating that we are unable to compete with many other clubs when it comes to signing players. Since money goes over everything else for them. And considering the sums that spins around in football today I'd say that running a football club *is* a business and less of an entertainment. It hurts the football and I can't really see how it would turn around but instead the game will continue its downward spiral amongst monster salaries, transfer fees and agents.
I guess it is over to plan B, unless Remy will sign for us anyway, and sign Kuqi again.
It might not matter who we get into the club though since we still have a manager that is unable to get the best out of our players anyway.

Hey, whilst not being convinced that Remy was the right player for us anyway we can bear in mind that the used car salesman has already broken the backs of Southampton, Portsmouth and West Ham. QPR are also on course for the Championship. Should we mange to stay up then 'Arry's purchases, including Remy will be available at half price come the summer.
Something has to be done about Lambiarse tho' - How the hell can a company, never mind a sports club exist with this man as it's front figure?

Fairs, I think it is irrelevant what happens to Redknap and QPR its our club that counts. NUFC has been dropping like a stone for long enough deals should have been put in place in readiness of the window opening although once the agents get a sniff everything is out in the open of course. Doing deals in January when your limited on how much you are willing to pay has obvious drawbacks you can set deals up then lose out too easily. ATB
