LA Kings win on the road again 2 - 1 in OT taking first game of Final series from NJ Devils. The way this Kings side are playing it will take massive effort from Devils to win Stanley Cup. Next game up is this Saturday again in New Jersey and should be another cracker. CWL

Kings take 2nd game in New Jersey 2 - 1 in OT to lead series 2 - 0. They now head back to LA for third and fourth games on 4th and 6th June. This could be all over pretty quick unless Devils find some inspiration from somewhere. CWL

Broon always a chance it could be repeat of last season....with thrilling seven game series despite the early 2 - 0 lead. Mind you Canucks had lead from two home games before losing so I guess it's tougher for NJ Devils to make a fist of it. If they do make a comeback it could turn into one of the all time great Stanley Cup encounters. CWL

LA Kings go 3 - 0 in the Stanley Cup final series following a 4 - 0 victory at the Staples Center. Awsome shut out by Jon Quick (and boy is he hard to beat) along with great games for Jeff Carter and Anze Kopitar. Really getting a feel for these guys and their fans... Hells teeth they have waited so long for this and I would be screaming and jumping like a madman if this was The Toon. Of course it isn't over until that Fat Lady starts warbling, however should the Kings take the fourth game in LA it will be a night to remember and a series to forget for the Devils. CWL

Broon I watch highlights on Internet or record them when I can or occasionally live games if I can stay awake. Devils take game four 3 - 1 in LA to keep series alive. Saturday is back in New Jersey and can the Kings maintain this amazing on the road run of victories? Should be another cracker... CWL

Just catching up with this thread again Broon...
I see the Kings took game six back in LA to take series 4 - 2 with a resounding 6 - 1 thumping of the NJ Devils..
So that's another American sport finished for the season
What next NBA playoffs?

So that's another American sport finished for the season What next NBA playoffs? CWL Can't stomach the NBA CWL. Have the NY Yanks on the telly reet now. I take a lot of guff from my brother, (a Mets fan) because they win so often. Being a Yankee fan over here is like being a Manure fan over in England. Only difference is I'm from NY while most Manure fans aren't even from Manchester they just support em cause they win soo much. Yanks are on a good run right now, 9 and 1 over the last 10 and back in first. Our arch enemys the Mackem Red Sox aren't very good this year so there won't be much drama when they play each other.

Don't get any coverage over here so only ever read about games. Guess on that basis I will call it a day for the Summer until the Footy comes back in August and the NFL follows the month after. CWL
