Carroll 2 goals for Liverpool tonight. And what have we got four strikes that are just about good enu to play in the championship. It were a cracking game PP,but you could see his sharpness is still not 100% I put him in my Sky sports teams Friday thinking its about time that he broke his duck and started putting it about. Can't wait till his propper cooking. ;D As for yer man Ashley sorry to say but he is a business man through and through all those millions he gambled that he paid out in wages when you dropped down a season I am afraid he is now recouping by the looks of things before he actually decides to invest or sell. He will get no arguements from Pardew he's a yes man. Chrissy Hughton probably wanted some brass to strengthen and you know the rest.

Dail Snail just repeating the story which broke sunday............ What bugs me is how do people like Thompson get away with saying stuff like this................... and as usual the FA will do bugger all about it with supporters just being taken for a ride. Jose is still under contract at Newcastle until 2012 so is this situation not a blatant breach of transfer rules or am I missing something? That said it appears that The Fat Controller plus who ever is running Liverpool can do as they please and are basically sticking two fingers up at the rest. CWL

I'm not very well versed in contracts etc, but if they want to sell him, and he wants to go, can't the contract be broken? Would the contract only hold if he didn't want to go? How can this happen before the transfer window opens anyway?? I thought you could only buy and sell at certain times of the year? Or has Ashley got special dispensation, and the rules don't apply to him?

It depends, if Thompson is still employed in an official capacity by LFC, then I would assume he is in breach of FA rules. If, as I suspect he is merely a freelance "journalist" then he is expressing an opinion allbeit from the horses mouth. The horse probably being his mate King Kenny. This would, in my opinion mean trouble for the latter rather than the former.

Otherwise there are intention contracts where parties are in agreement but delay signing until a later date.

I think people may have this the wrong way round, this deal could be arranged behind Pardupe`s back without the agent being involved,(at the start) I think it is possible this deal has been put together at the top ie Liverpool, Llambastic and Ashley.
