After last weekends blank Saturday due to the FA Cup the Toon are back in action this weekend at The Brittania Stadium facing Stoke City. This game is another sell out for the away section............. In the league Stoke have scored just once recently and taken one point from four games. Although they did beat West Ham last weekend in the Cup scoring twice in the process. Newcastle are currently sitting 10th with Stoke two points worse off and two places below us in 12th. Will the Mags get revenge for the home defeat last September or will Tony Pulis big men come out on top again to do the double over Newcastle for the season? For me a lot will depend upon who Alan Pardew puts out on the pitch. Should Barton not be fit and our manager mucks around with the side as he did when faced with Everton, then I can see Newcastle losing this one. Hopefully Barton will be back and that young Ferguson is given his chance with Jose not available. That way the balance of the side should not be affected to the degree it was last time out. From a footballing perspective Newcastle are good enough on their day to beat Stoke. I reckon this may be very similar to the Blackburn away match where NUFC take the game to the opposition and hopefully earn at least a point. What do you think? CWL

As you say CWL it depends whether Joey, Enrique playing or not. I think they give the team a lot of confidence when they're on the pitch, obviously. Lets hope Nolan fires the lads up for a real go at them. Saying that I think it will be 1-0 to the Potters.

Stoke on a high following their cup success. Newcastle on a low following poor performance from both manager and players in last game. Threadbare squad due mainly to injuries and bad management. Threat of suspension hanging over Nolan, Tiote and Barton - there's no way that threesome will go 3 games without bookings. A manager not willing to play our fastest striker. A point at best for us (if we are lucky) It's on TV here but I'm not looking forward to it. Stoke aren't exactly the entertainers of the PL whilst we are the champions of frustration. Hoping for a decent display from our team but suspect, like Canny a trouncing is on the cards.

Only caught last 30 mins when I finally got a stream that was working (of sorts) and what I saw wasn't good!! Schoolboy defending for Fuller's goal!! Mind you streaming link was also v. poor (very stop start and patchy) What was the starting line-up and how were Pardew's tactics this week CWL? Spent much of the game trying to get a link!

Hasn't happened yet Polly, but can sympathise with your disappointment
Strength in Depth is what we're lacking, unfortunately the Fat Controller couldn't give a rat's a**e where we end up!!
