It may well be considered a witch hunt and probably didn't help that Sir Trevor was sitting in the stand. Also it was less than a day or so after Scudamore announced the revised RESPECT campaign. Mind you little doubt the charge was correct of using offensive, insulting and/or abusive language. Boys a fool! The whole league will laugh their collective socks off if he appeals and ends up with a longer ban costing them the title. Fergie will be going mental. CWL

FA trying to get their act together. Too little too late. Just lovin' the fact that it is Manure who are bearing the brunt but he did bring it upon himself. Championship? - seems to me the other contenders are throwing away points as if they don't need them

That's the key thing in the run in to the title.................Manure know exactly what it takes and even without Rooney are capable of seeing it through to the end. CWL

Hate Man Utd as much as you want, you can't help admire Fergie and the red devils. They have done it season in season out and they have this one in the pocket. True champions. No 19 on the way....Liverpool knocked off their perch...Fergie finally completing what he set off to do.....

Rooney will find out his fate from the FA Thursday morning at l0am following the foul mouthed outburst straight down the camera lens during the West Ham game at the weekend. Should he win his appeal it will result in a one match ban this weekend against Fulham. Should it go the other way he could end up with a three match ban resulting in additional no shows against City and The Toon. CWL

Thursday morning saw the failure of an appeal to overturn a two match suspension imposed by the FA on Wayne Rooney following his most recent foul mouthed outburst during the game against West Ham. However, Rooney's appeal wasn't deemed to be frivolous so there was no increase in his ban. The striker will now miss this weekends Premier League fixture against Fulham and the FA Cup Semi-Final against Manchester City at Wembley the following Saturday. However he will be available to face Chelsea in the Champions League second leg tie on Tuesday April 12th. Rooney is therefore, barring injury, likley to return to league action at SJP on Tuesday April 19th, where he's managed six goals during his five previous visits with Manure. CWL

Another decision that will come back to haunt the inept lot running the FA..................... Should have been one game in my view and left it at that. CWL

Do you mean 1 game total or 3 games CWL?

One game total..............not that I condone what he did. It's just another whole can of worms to open up as there are so many cameras covering games now someone else is bound to be caught doing the same. Then what happens? Players have always f'd and blinded all over the place without any action being taken. Despite this being the extreme end of it, so perhaps there's some justification for taking action, I just believe it's purely posturing by the FA. If they really mean business give referee's the clear mandate to send players off for the offence. Then it will stop because both managers and players will be accountable in the eyes of supporters if it doesn't. CWL
