Another dream last night just before waking. So here it is. Very short and nothing much to it really. My son was a press photographer and he had loads and loads of photographs of massed trees without their leaves on. It was as though he had taken them in a forest. This was somehow linked to Prince William & Kate......like a paparazzi he was quite excited and somehow was expecting them to appear in or from the trees! It would earn him a lot of money, hence the excitement! Also the number 125 was in there too!? 125 photographs....maybe, don't know! End of dream. Another royal link to the dream but no way have I got a "Royal obsession"....no way!! ;D

I can't comment on that jazz I can't remember mine. But there again I could think of something better than the royal family to dream about ;D

Well, here's another one I had this morning before waking up/or semi awake, can't remember it in too much detail but here it is:- I was in a hospital bed awaiting an operation....I remember clearly it was my stomach...on the right hand side...."they'd" marked a cross where the incision was to be made. However the "hospital" was, or appeared to be in a crowded, cluttered "living room" of what I perceived to be a large Victorian house. Also the route to the "operating theatre" involved going outside. My main concern was that the hospital bed/trolley could not negotiate easily it's way through the mess of furniture etc that was in the room. Nobody appeared to be taking responsibility for this, so it was left to me to direct operations from my bed! The only other thing that comes into my mind was that the operation had something to do with curing diabetes (which I haven't got by the way). End of dream. The strange thing about the dream was that in the semi conscious state I was in I can remember feeling my stomach in the place that the incision was going to be! So it seemed real.

Another dream:- This seems to be in two parts but somehow connected. First part, is that am in something like a large airport and attempting to get money out of a cash machine. For some reason this involves turning a dial so that you have to pick a number I have been given......as in the Post Office's "Cashier number two please". I couldn't get the thing to work properly and kept overshooting to another number. Eventually I got to "number two"......by this time a long impatient queue had formed. The cash machine then started spilling out paper receipts, tickets, vouchers, anything but cash! A man behind me in the queue started using the cash machine. I then noticed the edge of a banknote in the mess of paper sticking out of the ATM so I grabbed it. An argument started with this man, turning nasty! "Let's go over to the bank...we can sort this out" I said. Now the second part:- This was set, probably in Africa and I had "purloined" a black bag of cereal/grain from my employer which is "The Port of Tyne" although not in the docks. Somebody was helping me to carry this bag and as we were struggling along, the "Chief Executive" of the PTA walked past looking across at us as we had our PTA sweatshirts on. Next, we were throwing this bag down a well......the bag burst with grain floating around in the water....not a result we wanted. End of dream.

Jazz, I would prescribe foryou a good few strong drinks before you go to bed to help you sleep soundly, without disturbing dreams. We only dream when not in deep sleep, so I would think that you are not sleeping deeply most of the time.

Well, Bansh, I have these dreams just before waking.....I'm sort of semi conscious hence me remembering them......I make a conscious effort to write them down straight away otherwise they go. I'm sort of using this forum as a "dream diary" but hope it provides amusement to other users! I'm off to the pub now for my "prescription"! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hope your "prescription" works tonight Jazz. I love your dreams. Like mine, they have no reason to them. My latest, in the biggest heatwave we're having here, involved a Christmas scene of my neighbour's backyard. It was lovely, by the way, people skating, and the colours were dramatic, as was the concert on their deck. Something from a Christmas card scene. Didn't work though - still so hot, even with the air conditioning running.

Well, Patsie, weather is sort of mixed here but generally not too bad considering our sometimes "non event" type of Summers! Dreams are weird but I can sometimes work them out....we have just booked a holiday hence the first part of my dream and the second part stems from all the terrible news stories about the famine in Africa. How they come out as they do though is strange!? Mind, a lot of dreams seem to make no sense at all! Keep on dreaming!

A fragment of a dream I had when almost awake this morning:- A large hall of a stately home or palace.....a group of us opening small square cupboards ranged along one wall. Each cupboard represented a different period in the UK's history. Forensic historians, that's the only way I can describe them, were scraping the floors of these cupboards. Most of them revealed nothing to me but, obviously were of great interest to them. One of them, however, on being "scraped" came up with a piece of cloth from the Charles 1st./2nd. period......a fantastic dark red with elaborate gold pattern on it! End of dream. I can only think this may have stemmed from a TV trailer of that girl who does the Antique Road Show promoting her upcoming programme about royal palaces/homes and their contents. The royal link again.......am I a repressed monarchist!! ;D

A nightmare fragment!........A young lad driving me in a wild manner through a forest....not on a road, just through the trees. Escaping from some sort of bad weather. Eventually we end up in a kind of impassable dark mass of trees/undergrowth. We reverse.....he knows another way to continue our journey. A tree stump is hit and we go careering down a steep bank towards a road with a body of water next to it......we don't make it and with the lad yelling "Here we go!" we smash into the water....blackness, panic, then I wake up!

I've been thinking of this thread recently....had a few dreams but haven't written them down, one this morning before waking so here goes with it! Find myself perched halfway down a huge extremely steep grassy slope leading down to a lovely smooth turquoise coloured sea. Below, a few people are swimming in the clear sea as well as the odd large fish seen underneath the water. I have a big rucsack on my back which makes it difficult to keep my balance. It seems that I am at the end of a long walk which has been imposed on me as a punishment. I am terrified and don't know how I'm going to make it to the bottom, as often happens in dreams other people are finding no trouble getting up and down the slope/cliff! Suddenly I am aware of an oldish man to my left...we make polite small talk....weather etc. He is dressed in some sort of elaborately designed thick fishermans jumper. The weather by the way is extremely hot! The next thing is that there is a fishing boat (trawler) which has similar men lined up on it, fishermen I presume. Next thing is that these fishermen, prompted by the man next to me start singing....a sea shanty type of song......."Haul away, heave away!" type of thing. They are really good and when they stop the chap intimates that anyone can join them. A building/church materialises in some way behind us and loads of people start following the fishermen into the building. End of dream. Well, well, well!

I keep saying I must have a pen and note book on the bedside cabinet. I have great difficulty remembering anything I dream. Maybe it's a senior thing, or it could be that my dreams are just boring. One thing I know it's highly unlikely they're about the Royal family.
