Here's another bit of news to annoy any self respecting member of the Toon Army when it comes to the shower running and managing the Club we love to follow... Pierre-Emerick Aubamayeng could scarcely have wished for a better league debut for Borussia Dortmund than the one he enjoyed on Saturday. A summer signing from AS Saint-Étienne for a fee of around €14m, Aubamayeng arrived in Germany having scored 35 Ligue 1 goals in the past two seasons. However, the Gabon striker came to the Bundesliga with a reputation for failing to be clinical in front of goal. Indeed he spurned a handful of clear chances in last weekend's German Cup tie against SV Wilhelmshaven. On Saturday, though, the 24-year-old banished any lingering preconceptions with a hat-trick in Dortmund's 4-0 victory against FC Augsburg. 'The Superhero', as German newspaper Bild dubbed him, became only the sixth player in Bundesliga history to register a treble on his debut in the top flight. "I'm not surprised at all with his performance," said Dortmund coach Jürgen Klopp after the game. "I am surprised about the fact that all his shots went in, though. But it's obviously better for him to start this way, rather than missing all his chances." Aubameyang himself was clearly happy with his BVB bow: ""Indescribable! It's a great day for me"," he said. "The Bundesliga is a lot more intense than Ligue 1. The pace is higher, but I didn't let that affect my game. I enjoy playing for Dortmund. I want to work hard week in and week out and then we will see what's possible for us this season." Should the scoring spree continue, fans can look forward to spectacular celebrations from the striker. In France, his repertoire included putting on a Spiderman mask (Not one borrowed from Jonas I hope!) after finding the net. On Saturday he restricted himself to a perfectly executed front flip. "It was my first goal in the Bundesliga and I wanted the celebration to be something special," he said. However, he was not willing to repeat those exploits following his second and third goals of the match. "Managers generally don't like it that much," he said with a grin on his face. Klopp, however, was more concerned with seeing his new acquisition build on his fast start. "I know that he can still improve," said Klopp. "He can cause a lot of damage to opposing defences." Augsburg's back line will testify to that. It's been said before and will come as no surprise to anyone on here that the failure to go the extra yard in spending money on quality players will come back to haunt Mike Ashley big time. Not that I believe our most benevolent owner cares one jot what anyone else thinks of his decisions when it comes to The Toon. One week to go until the season starts for real at Citeh and two more added to that for Joe Feckinghere to get his act together. Just unable to see it getting any better on the transfer front given the time he has had already to bring people in and failed to deliver by a large margin. Lights Oot!

How very true and how very frustrating it is to be a Toon supporter because of it. great post! ATB

No Gomis... Another transfer hits the buffers big time. During this transfer window the only saving grace being none of the quality players have been sold...so far, but still plenty of time for that to happen. Seriously thinking the only way to show my dissatisfaction to our most benevolent owner is to stop going until he is also gone. I have accepted since he arrived it's his toy to do with what he wants however now quite frankly he can have it as I'm reaching point where I refuse to be regarded like something he has dragged in off the street on the bottom of his shoe. Ashley, not Alpha Papa or Joe Feckinhere, regardless of results has until February to convince me otherwise and whether I ever go back again should it come to walking away, is another thing entirely. Well hacked off... Lights Oot!

Well hacked off... Lights Oot! It seems to me that there are two games going on and its not about football. 1.Ashley has given up or he is trying to make life as uncomfortable as possible for his Manager. 2.Pardew is as thick as ever (trying to sell Cabaye is a case in point), or he is calling Ashleys bluff. The other stooge/clown is of little or no significance and never will be. ATB Jfc

Just watched APees interview he looks jaded nowhere near as confident as he used to be says the players are ready but are they? We will soon find out big time! ATB

The man must be a fool if he thinks every Newcastle supporter will just carry on regardless. Perhaps the worm is ready to turn its about time it did. ATB

Not sure which interview you have seen Capt'n, however if it is his post match one after the Braga friendly on Saturday it contains the very familiar sound bites chucked out a lot from last season. Hells teeth if this is what is considered being ready for the challenges during the coming season then God only knows what it would be like if The Toon were considered not ready by this lot running the show! Alpha Papa is looking like someone that has suffered many a sleepless night on death row. He firmly believes there's a possible reprieve out there somewhere, but just as likely before that happens the guards will turn up to take him off to be executed. Worse still in this nightmare is that Joe Feckinhere will either pull the switch on the electric chair, connect the gas supply or inject the poison needle into his arm! Those first four games against Citeh away, then West Ham at home followed by Morcambe in the Capital One Cup away, then another visit by a London Club to SJP in the shape of Fulham are all significant for APee. Lose the Cup game and either or both of those home games and the knives will well and truly be out for him as manager. What makes it more scary than normal is Joe sitting in the background just biding his time before being given the nod from above to take over. I just pray none of that happens... Lights Oot!

Not a lot to report so far on the transfer front on Deadline Day, however here is one bit of news which is very relevant to The Toon's fortunes this season. Loic Remy rebailed until November over rape claim Newcastle United striker Loic Remy has been rebailed until November after he was arrested earlier this year alongside his cousin and a friend on suspicion of rape. A Met Police spokesman told ITV News: "I can confirm today that three men who were arrested on the morning of Wednesday 15th May, aged 26, 23 and 22 on suspicion of rape have now been rebailed to appear on 21st November 2013." The French striker, who joined Newcastle on loan from Queens Park Rangers, denies the allegation. Lights Oot!

Anyone remember potty mouth Joe asking not to be too quick to judge him and see how he does the business in the transfer window? And getting Cabaye BACK over the line doesn't count FFS! What an ass! Only club in the PL not too do any business. I can hear the sound bits already, "but we've keep all our stars"...........Jeeezz

Joe Feckinere has final say on all transfers...umm! NUFC signing one player on loan speaks volumes. Joe Feckinere the new voice of Ashley...total silence as transfer window closes, nowt new there then! Now the Toon Army wait to hear first hand from the Director of F**kall or read second hand the reasons why nothing happened. Only time will tell between now and January whether it makes any kind of sense what so ever. Then again they didn't sell anyone so everything must be rosy, it is isn't it, tell me if I have that wrong? Lights Oot!

Confused! Didn't they sell Perch and Simpson amongst others?

Fairsy perhaps that should have been sold anyone of note. Certainly one or two of the young lads have gone for a fee I believe and they did sell Perch... decent enough squad player but hardly pushing for a permanent place each week. Simpson was out of contract. Had Cabaye and HBA gone in this window then real damage may have resulted. Then again that could still happen with both of them staying. One thing for sure unlike every other window where our most benevolent owner and his employees have had some kind of reason ready for not signing a player, this time there's nothing they can say which will convince supporters it was a risk worth taking. Only one thing will change opinion and that is results on the park. Un Canny has always said that Mikey is the luckiest guy on the planet, well we are about to witness just how lucky he really is when it comes to his Football toy. Lights Oot!

Both Perch and Simpson whilst not setting the world on fire were decent players in my opinion. Perch was improving with each game and could be used as a utility player. Simpson, again in my opinion was as good as the guy who replaced him (French International to boot). If Mashley had no intention of bringing anyone in,of which I am now convinced, why the hell reduce an already depleted squad?
This regime has now slumped to depths only matched by Mckeag and Co. and my blood is boiling.

Reading the title again it made me think of Shola Ameobi for some reason... which is strange since he will never be a moving target in any shape or form.
