Interesting to note that an EX EC member is gleefully popping in on here and copying and pasting threads onto the EG. My goodness. Surely their forum isnt that boring that they have to have our threads for their amusement  Hope it wasn't Nick's thread they copied otherwise there'll be hell to pay ;D ;D ;D PS. What's this EG forum thing? |

It's the Evening Gazette forum Fairs, it's the Middlesbrough equivalent of the EC forum, and run by the same people. When our forum closed, as you know we were left high and dry, so it was suggested we join that one. (cannot remember by who now!!) So a few of us did that, and we were welcomed. Everything was fine to begin with, until a EC troll joined!! And unfortunately, some on the EG foum fell for it, so we left...................... and the rest, as they say, is history.  It has now gone so ridiculous that one has resorted to posting threads from this forum on there!!!!  Particularly the one about Nick leaving, trying to infer that this forum is falling apart!!!! Not worth the effort of bothering Fairs

Thanks Ann and Shads, It was good to get out. I was feel very low last night and it did make me feel better, although it was strange being on my own.
It something I will do again mid week maybe Wednesday. Thanks for your continuing support and kindness XXX

hey milk.... ya cheeky b * * * ard! I hope that isnt me. Have you seen the gazette lately? They dont like you and me..... result, hey? Glad you liked it. I've been banned from the EG for telling the Mods they were either racist, inept, lazy or all three, which basically is the truth. I'll wear the ban as a badge of honour. I know this would get me banned but I had no intention of posting on a site which is over run with racist vermin and BNP trolls so it's irrelevant.. I'm supremely confident in the mods on here that they wouldn't allow that to happen on here. I was banned from the EG Forum recently too only I fell foul of one particular forum poster who seems to have much more influence than the average forum user it seems. |

Natt i think the problem with the EG mods is they only moderate when they can fit it in with their daily duties the same as the old EC . No mods on an evening No mods at weekends You cant run a forum like that your just asking for trouble |

Completely agree nick. We all saw the problems lack of moderation causes  Seems few,if any,lessons have been learned by the mods. |

Most forums I've come across tend to fall into the same category, theres the people who get on with each other, even though their opinions might differ they are still able to get along. theres the people who won't get along and will dig and poke at the others and of course the trolls.
The Evening Gazette is totally different on there you're either part of the labour 'cabal' or a fascist whether you are or not and it is so deep rooted now that they'll never sort it out or get it back into the hands of the people who used it before, but who left (or were forced to leave) in droves.
The whole lot of it is being spoilt by a tiny minority who have no other means of expressing themselves.
Anyway, that's my moan over, is it dinner time yet I'm starving?

Dinner in the shads house Im afraid. db-welcome.I totally agree with your observations regarding forums-thats pretty much how Ive found them to be too.I did find it very difficult on the EG.It was very different to other forums Ive used in that all topics seemed to end up going back onto just one or two topics.Altho having said that-have Your say on the EC was going down that route in the end too. |
