According to Sly Sports and several other sources today Alan Pardew is confident about bringing in at least two players before the transfer window finally closes. That said it may well go right down to the final minutes to get these players. Umm! sounds familiar. Meantime another of our current squad is being linked with a move in the opposite direction. Apparently Stroller is wanted by Brum and they are possibly prepared to pay in excess of £1.5m for him. Although this approach has been rebuffed by the Club, so far! CWL

Quick stint in Germany before moving on to Russia now with the Brummies. Well we'll see how much he has improved when they come to play us, twice! CWL

Polly, I agree. I'm glad he left with Owen, Bassong, Duffer and Duka.
CWL, yes he's lost his way somewhat. Not that it bothers me too much. That's what happens to traitors. Serves him right. I doubt he'll do much damage against us. Colo and Willo will comfortably deal with him. Probably moved there because Brum made it to the League Cup final and sees an easy medal there (just struck me).

You could be right, but the press release I read also mentioned something about his wife, partner or whoever just having had a child so he wanted to be closer to family. Interesting because I always thought his mother was still in Milan! Like you though not that bothered when all is said and done. He was another one who was never as good as he believed. Scorer of great goals, but not a great goal scorer. CWL
