Broon it's in the media, plus on loads of NUFC blogs and sites across the web. Doesn't surprise me one bit. The renaming of the ground was always about bringing in more money albeit at the expense of everything the previous name meant. It was that which got fans backs up rather than calling it the SDA. Why not come out and tell everyone what they were planning to do rather than just stuff it down peoples throats. Mikey has done that before in his retail empire so not exactly a new thing. I laughed on reading he tried to buy the World naming rights to one of the lines sold in his sports outlets and the guys behind it refused to sell. He was not a happy bunny, but didn't dare take it further as it's one of his better brand names. Have a feeling that may be the same with Branson and Virgin Money. He cannot afford to annoy another Billionaire in case he takes his brand and money elsewhere. Of course there would have still been those that vehemently objected to the name change, but no one could deny the logic behind why it was being done. For me this latest story to the media is just another attempt to make up for damage done on the back of something positive. CWL
