Broon thanks for an excellent summation of most things Canny. Sincerely hope that one of these events can be arranged on English, if not European soil some time in the near future. Your report on the social side of things is of eqaual quality to one of CWl'S match reports. Great stuff. Canny does sleep at matches both by his own admission and only several well directed nudges from myself kept him awake in the second half against WBA. But let's face it even the little fella can suffer from jetlag. PS - Time you learned to swim Thanks Fairsy, that awful high praise to even be mentioned in the same sentence as CWL. I’m somewhat afraid that I’m straying off the football side of things and some of the more serious members on this forum will think this stoof is silly and boorish. Plus it’s been documented several times here my spelling is shite. Must admit I am somewhat dyslexic when it comes to posting with a throbbin heed. As far as coming over fer a meet, I’m all in, but I fear Master Yoda, er Canny, is lukewarm on the idea. I’d be lost without him, not knowing the lay of the land and all that. When we were still in the cup fight he said, “if they make Wembley we’re going over even if you have to sell a kidney”! Then CWL posted something about a possible London meet that didn’t self destruct in time and the Brighton match went pear shaped. It is my life’s desire to go to SJP and see a match in person. To cheer with the Geordies, sing with the Geordies and oh yeah, drink with the Geordies! Canny introduced me to the Entertainers and KK that many years ago and I’ve been supportin em ever since. I’ve been infected with Toonitus. So pick your meet day for the spring, if I can do it, will consider a solo venture. If that dosen’t happen, next xmas when the lad goes over to visit his mum is another possibility. He sez then I’ll have a place to stay. Cheers, Broon

Leaser, let me explain about the acting like children bit. Cannyman was here for the Mackem match. When Raylor put that shot thru the "little guy" and myself started hooping, hollerin and dancing about. Not unlike most mag supporters did as well I'm sure. Well the wife just don't get it and later said we were acting like kids. She really does adore the guy, as we all know and it's been documented here, he's a "charmer" with the ladies! Broon, Never doubted it for a minute ;D ;D ;D Having met Canny just the once when he was in Toon for a match at SJP, I can see why yor lass thought ye were acting like kids ;D ;D. My Mrs. Is still having nightmares after that "little" session and she never got te meet the guy!!! ;D We simply HAVE to do it again, with perhaps your good self in attendance?? Maybe if we make it into Europe by the end of the season............ Lasses will never understand the Toon Army's passion, Mrs Leazes can' get why I rant at the telly and chuck peanuts at it Leazer, I'm quite relieved to hear that throwin objects at the telly must be a global thing. Indeed my Missus has suggested hangin a net between me and the Samsung when watchin the matches. She also must think Obertain's name is really aw........fer f*cks sake.

What happened to Supermac? Came in , blew our minds with a cracking post and then burgered off again? I have it on good authority(heh heh) that supermac was so overwhelmed with the lavish praise thrown at him over his post that he o.d.'d on happiness and went into a self identity crisis(this happens with super intelligent people).......Should I come out and be a normal sensible member of society, or remain the brooding, unsociable self centered redneck Ive always been? As part of his therapy I am hoping this will jolt him into a cutting subtle repartee of withering intensity.......This is Dr Canny signing off while rushing to my bombproof shelter.........Where's the Guinness?
