More insult to our club. Taking off Ben Arfa after the goal! U donno what ur doing Pardew...Sod off and leave our club alone! But congrats to Brighton And well done Poyet (now thats a good manager!).... Magpie, your gonna get booked fer language. Let's face it Best and Stroller don't scare any defense. Like Cannyman sez, Glue em. Thanks for the warning. And talking about language watch your grammar (Fairscup is very particular about it). Ba and Cisse might come and make the difference and score goals and win us matches but that doesn't mean Pardew is a good manager. He inherited a good team from Hughton and then Graham Carr scouted players and recommended them to AP. Carver coaches the team in attack. All AP does is teach them to defend which clearly reflects in our mentality and boring style of playing.

I've just modified Magpies' post to take account of the language. Yellow card Magpie!
Can I just take this opportunity to remind members to add their own asterisks, as we don't really want to use a filter. We can all remember how frustrating it was on the Chron forum, when perfectly good words got filtered out. Cheers folks

Watching the match today, I nearly did what Canny does i.e fall asleep!! ;D It was dead boring, and the Toon Army had lost their voices as well!! Why don't our players run into the box when we get near the goal, we never seem to have enough bodies there!!! I don't know what the neighbours thought, I was effin' and blinding with the best of them What a shambles!!

Wrong again Magpie - I'm only particular when I can make neither head nor tail of what is written. It was a mistake on my part because usually I just ignore your ramblings.

It's difficult to produce exciting football with two strikers who can neither play together nor find the net against even Championship opposition. PS - it was a pelanty!

Changing the manager will solve nothing.................. All this result did was provide more evidence (if needed) that once this current side loses some of it's quality players it is Championship level at best. That's not the managers fault it comes down to having an Owner with a spending policy that refuses to pay over the odds to bring that degree of quality in. Manager, coaches, scouts can all do their jobs, however as long as the owner will not or is unable to invest huge sums on transfers to improve things it's the way it is and unlikely to change IMO. CWL You can't say it any plainer than that. The question is how does the FCB measure success? Unfortunately I think we all know the answer to that. Ann, there is less of him but he is no less of a cancer.

We took off Guthrie,Ben and Santon.........but look at who we brought on (a la Bobby Robson) ....Gosling,Raylor and Ferguson....leaving Kadar,Obertan and Lovencrap unused. How the fluff did the 2 donkies stay on up front? Why take off 3 playing well for 3 in the same positions? Attack them ....replace the donkies with Obertan(I know) and Lovencrap....... Pardeux got it wrong this time(I'll allow him one , he deserves it).......and am beginning to think he has favourites or he is trying to shop window players to get rid of them. Thinking maybe Gosling and Fishface have pictures of him with farmyard animals........ Just publish the pictures ffs...............

I don't know if I'd call it boring football more like frustrating footy. They can bring the ball up the pitch okay but if service is delivered to yesterdays strikers they just bollocks the play. Big clumsy oafs. Their headers lack any pace if they can even time their jumps properly. They can't run in the box because they're not that type player, they are turn and shoot types and defenders know that. This frustrating footy had me cursing so bad the wife left the room. We've seen some terrific matches, Stoke, Manure at home to name a few and we think why can't they play like that all the time? A person much smarter than me once said, "they're our pile and we pick the buggers to bits". Well come wednesday we'll be back cheering, cursing and hoping cause we love "this pile" and there's nothing better than supporting the TOON!

Many dont see what you see because they are not full of excrement. Pardeux with very limited resources has created a different team mentality to what we have had for many many years. Its called commitment and rally together for the cause. It is the very fact that we have limited resources that backfires on us(not his fault). If the same guy had more cash available , you would see a different team, and different substitutes. Dont blame Pardeux, he's just trying to eat at the table with his arms tied behind his back. It maybe even worse eventually.......he may end up rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic........still not his fault. As the fatman loses weight, his cash increases and his inclination to spend on players decreases...........its the roullette table , and we dont get to play.......... Now stop being sensationalistic, and try and get with the program.

As someone on the chron. site mentioned, perhaps they were playing for a draw.
Then a full house at St. James's!! to fill the coffers.
