Just a quick personal thankyou to Leazes for sorting the ticket to this for me.................... Bit of a throwback to past times what with standing on the terraces again rather than being seated. Although having a beer on those self same terraces while actually watching a Live game of Football is completely new to me in this country. The Entertainers unfortunately lost, but that was secondary to the charitable side of things. Some great local causes receiving much needed funds from a terrific turnout. Added to that was a lot of pleasure from seeing some of my favourite players along with several others who made the effort to show their skills again on a football pitch. Shearer, Ginola, Lee, Tino, Albert, Clarkie, Watson, Fox, Gillespie, Howie, Killer, Beresford, Elliot, Peacock and O'Brien................... If I have missed anyone I'm sure Leazes will let me know. The past Liverpool side were more than useful themselves.............. with McManaman and Haman still able to strut their stuff along with the Grob in goal. Good day and one to savour just from the point of being able to say once again in years to come.................I was there! CWL  |
