An interesting aquissition - Decent player apparrently, better on the right than on the left tho', by all accounts. Fingers crosssed - we need fullbacks on both sides.

From what I have heard of him he has shown a lot of promise and is still only 20. He also has five caps for Italy. Should be an interesting signing... as long as he isn't another Pistone.  |

Santon is a cracking player....Surprises me he came here from Inter Milan...But then so did Oba Martins And besides...beggars cant be choosers right After the Special One left he fell out with the next manager and suffered with injury. That said he is quality as you don't become a full international without having some ability. Now just a matter of giving the lad time. Perhaps as with Joey B the fact The Toon showed a willingness to take him was all that mattered. Let's hope he turns out to be a goodun............ CWL  |

Joey B was always a pretty good player. It was his personal issues that usually got in the way. His stint in prison did him a world of good. Don't misunderstand - I've said nowt negative about Santon.

Amazing what you can read into someone else's post when you put your mind to it!  Just for clarity I was referring to the fact QPR wanted Joey and we did not! No dispute about his footballing ability. Whether his prison term helped reform his character or not is another thing entirely................ CWL  |

We supposedly paid 5 mill for him - if he does show any promise, fatso will probably sell him in the next window for 15 mill !!!
