You may as well do something like what Magpie has doneThat looks as if its straight out of an Ernie Wise script!
As for the conjecture bit is everything you write factual?
It looks to me as if bit by bit Ashley is dismantling the gang who got together to fight to get our team back to where it belongs...
It has been recorded that NUFC have been reported to FIFA for tapping up two players one of which is a goal keeper does that not ring any bells? Why do NUFC need to chase a keeper when we have three already, but there again its all conjecture according to you.
ATB
Capt M, no not everything I write is factual although where possible I try as best I can to provide a source or state it's only my opinion or viewpoint. On that basis you are more than welcome to challenge it .........................
Most of what we talk about is individual or collective opinion, but this time I would say it's not conjecture why The Toon are looking for another keeper. It's a fact simply because they no longer have three viaing for a first team spot in case it slipped your mind. Forster has gone to Celtic on loan..........
Whether he should have been allowed to rejoin The Bhoys or do NUFC actually need to replace him with another keeper is IMO something entirely different to discuss!
As for your points above about NUFC being reported to FIFA for allegedley tapping of transfer targets. Do me a favour.................. at least try to get it right................. The first player you are referring to is Charlton goalkeeper Robbie Elliot (not to be confused with the ex-Newcastle player). Charlton have reported Newcastle to the Premier League not FIFA.........and here is why...........
Charlton chief executive Steven Kavanagh said: "It is very disappointing that Alan Pardew has decided to make public an offer for Robbie Elliot despite assurances to the contrary that wouldn't happen from club officials. Newcastle made a written offer of £100,000 for Robbie on Wednesday, and made it clear that it was their final and best offer. The offer was rejected within minutes, and Newcastle then confirmed they no longer had an interest in the player. We have contacted the Premier League to register our concern at public statements being made by Newcastle after they withdrew their interest."
The issue that Charlton are unhappy about is one of unsettling the player, not tapping him up, as a formal bid had been made!
The second player is Modibo Maiga. He hit the headlines for going on strike and demanding a move to Newcastle; so the player has hardly behaved impeccably. Quite how Newcastle initially got involved with this player I have no idea. It all came out of the woodwork when he refused to play for them.
That aside this is what Sochaux chairman Alexandre Lacombe said: "Newcastle are going on contacting our players despite our refusal. So we will register a complaint with UEFA, telling them such behaviour is not fair play.".
Personally I have no idea whether that is true or not?
The complaint has been sent to UEFA.
However I will concede FIFA do come into it because it involves a possible violation of Article 18 of the current international regulations.
Note the word 'possible'.........................nothing has been proven!
Either way The Toon do not come out of this unscathed and I will gladly accept I'm wrong when the full facts become known, if at all, should that be the case.
Please understand I'm as much against The Fat Controller and his regime at The Toon as anyone. However there's loads of BS that is circulated about our Club currently which I see as more damaging than what the Owner is doing. TFB will do what he wants as no one is in any position to stop him. That aspect is certainly driving a huge wedge between certain sections of our support.
You are entitled to believe that he is dismantling the core of players responsible for getting The Club back into the Premier League and that doesn't come as a suprise to me. Let's face it there is plenty of evidence to support such a view. In many ways it's harder not to think that is happening as supporters know Wor Mikey is a control freak and takes grudges very personally.
Not knocking your views of what is happening at Gallowgate as they are as valid as mine. However I challenged your opinion about Harper and called it conjecture simply because it is unsupported by substantiated fact (and don't tell me being dropped as first choice keeper is reason enough) or do you have inside information he is definitely on his way elsewhere?
What is certainly not conjecture is that the FCB owns The Club and it's his way or no way. As a supporter you can either live with that or moan about it or possibly both (point I'm reaching). One thing for sure it's not going to change anytime soon. Unless you happen to know someone with with a spare £300m burning a hole in their pocket which needs a home.
As for the Ernie Wise link you honour me by comparing my feable attempts to convey meaning with that of the great comedy playwright.....
