This weekend brings up the second Premeir League fixture of the season and an early away visit to the SoS for the 145th derby against the unwashed from doon the road. Last season they just scraped a draw with almost the last kick of the game when loking for revenge following the 5 - 1 halloween drubbing at SJP. This time around Brucie has an entire new look Mackems side to put out against The Mags. Both teams managed draws in their respective opening fixtures against The Gooners and Red Scousers. There were plenty of incidents and talking points in both games. Mainly about the red card that was given and possibly the other two which were not. Despite much bluster from 5under1and fans their side has a lot of catching up to do on the derby front. Meantime even when looking dead certs to be beaten (before the game starts) some how The Mags rally the troops and frighten the s**t out of their opponents on the day. I reckon another draw would probably suit both managers although neither would admit as much because it's too important to the supporters. One thing for sure no love will be lost between Mags and Mackems inside the ground................. or those just listening to the game on radio or via the web. I'm keeping my prediction for later, but as always my heart firmly says a Toon win! What do you think the outcome will be this time and which set of supporters will stake an early claim on bragging rights? My prediction of a 5-1 whooping by the unwashed is my gut feeling. I wont mind it because it will generate such venom Pardupe wont be able to breathe never mind bullshit. Could be the start of something big against the Fatman regime.........it is the only game that can generate any such passion and reaction....the football gods made it early for a reason.

Understand the thinking Canny when it comes to The Fat Controller, but here's another thought, what happens should we win? CWL

every Newcastle supporter ive talked to think the mackems will win this one, good thing is though they are the same ones who thought they would beat us at st James last season, lets hope we get the same result in our favour.

Canny, at least you get to see it live on TV................ as do a number of other people if you are abroad. Here in good old Blighty we will have to wait for ten minutes of chat and 30 seconds of game time on MOTD if we are lucky. I'll make do with radio and web stream (providing I can find one) as with last season. Ticket has gone to die hard away supporter. Had my fill of SoS when it all kicked off a few years back and their Stewards are sh**e! Let's hope it's worth getting up early for................. CWL

Another interesting team selection headache for APee............ He may well go for the same side as last week against the Gooners, however my choice if fit would be................ Krul, Simpson, Taylor, Colo, Ferguson Barton, Tiote, Cabaye Obertan, Ba/Stroller, Jonas Bench: from Harper, Perch, Williamson, Taylor, Marveaux, Gosling, Vuckic, Lovenkrands, Best. I would also play a 4 5 1 as I think goals are more likely to come from midfiled men than our forwards. CWL

CWL Naaaa......I'm thinkin 3-7-0 or 3-6-0 if Slowla's playing..........but then again he always scores against the unwashed,....and this must be the 5th manager in a row that Shola has pictures of with farmyard animals.........I'm sure Pardupe knows what he is doing....he's a legend in his own mind. See all the confusion???

I thought it would have been on TV? Or is the 12pm KO, so the fans can't drink before hand? Local TV (Tyne Tees) should show Derby matches anyway What time do pubs open in the States then Canny Or is it a one off for the match?

Ann the High Noon kick off will not prevent fans from having a drink before the game.................... As for it not being on TV well I reckon that is as much to ensure The Mackems get a good crowd.................. By the way last time Tyne Tees showed a derby game......... was in the 70's! CWL
