The 2011/12 season had four managerial casualties starting with Agent Bruce down the road at The Mackems in late November last year. That exit was followed by Neil Warnock at QPR in January this year and shortly afterwards by ex Mackem Mad Mick at Wolves. Last but not least to get the bullet was AVB at Chelski.
With the season barely over for a day already we have Ståle Solbakken in through the door at relegated Wolves while Big Eck is busy clearing his desk at Villa.
There's even still time yet for Roberto Di Mateo to be given his marching orders from Roman should he fail to win the Champions League final in Munich.
Looks as though the managerial clearout is starting with a vengence as King Kenny joins the list of those out of work following his trip to The US of A to meet his Liverpool Boss, Mr Henry.
There could be another to follow as Blackburn's Steve Kean is off to India to face his bosses. Very short odds there I expect regarding his job security.
With ten games played by all except the Mackems and Reading the pressure is building on quite a few managers....
Despite the bullish talk by those down the bottom Nigel Adkins, Mark Hughes and Brian McDermott all must be looking over their shoulder waiting for the bullet. While just above them both Paul Lambert and Martin O'Dear will be feeling the heat, if not from the boardroom certainly from The Terraces.

Former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has been appointed as the "interim" Chelsea manager until the end of the season.
Statement on the club's website said: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm Rafael Benitez has been appointed interim first-team manager until the end of the season.
"The owner and the Board believe that in Benitez we have a manager with significant experience at the highest level of football, who can come in and immediately help deliver our objectives.
"The 52-year-old Spaniard is due to meet the players at the training ground in Cobham tomorrow (Thursday).
The Spaniard also becomes the ninth manager under Russian owner Abramovich.
I guess the money will be good until he finally gets the chop....
Just like buses it appears when none are in sight two sackings come along in the same week....
This time it's Mark Hughes of QPR that is clearing his desk after ten months in charge.
No guessing that Appy Arry is in the frame with the bookies to take over.... However reports confirming his dog is betting heavily on the outcome have not be substantiated. A spokesperson for the Inland Revenue refused to comment.
According to Sly Sports News looks as though QPR have got their man in Appy Arry....
QPR chairman Tony Fernandes is delighted to have secured the services of new manager Harry Redknapp.
The experienced Redknapp has been looking to return to management since (he didn't get the Chelski job) leaving Tottenham after guiding them to a fourth-place Premier League finish last year.
And Redknapp will now try to keep a different London side in the top flight, with bottom club QPR having moved quickly to secure his services on a two-and-a half-year deal after firing Mark Hughes on Friday.
Fernandes said: "Harry was our number one target, the unanimous choice of the board, and we're delighted we've been able to attract him to the club."
"He has a proven track record in the Premier League and has all the characteristics we were looking for to get us out of the current situation we find ourselves in."
"His man-management skills are second to none and we are confident he is the right man to lead us away from the bottom of the table."
"We believe we have a manager with significant experience at the highest level of football, who can come in and immediately help deliver our objectives."
Redknapp is believed to be interested in hiring his former assistants at Tottenham, Joe Jordan and Kevin Bond (now there's a surprise, not!), and QPR say an announcement on his backroom team will be made in due course.
Should be interesting to see if this alleged marriage made in heaven actually works.
