All.............. I have been giving some thought about how to get around the issue of when someone is unable (for whatever reason) to post a prediction before the agreed prematch deadline. How about you all supply me with a standby score which will apply (home or away) in the event you do not manage to post for a specific game. What I would need from you is the following: Score: 1 - 1, 2 - 1, 0 - 2 etc. 1st Goal Scorer................. Simply choose the letter (A)* Leading scorer at time of match for either our opponents or name a nominated Toon Player. Such as this week against Villa............... (A) would be Gabriel Agbonlahor. Choice of Toon player is up to you e.g. Leon Best, Demba Ba, etc. etc. *Note this will apply for all games you miss. Other Toon Scorers: This will depend very much on what score you choose but it really is simple, just nominate some names from our side. After that I will do the rest.................... Any comments? CWL  |

Canny has also suggested we predict where The Toon will be in the Premier League table after our first ten games.................. Whoever gets it correct will gain an extra ten bonus points............. The six fixtures still to go are as follows........... Villa away Blackburn home Wolves away Spurs home Wigan home Stoke away Any comments? CWL  |

CWL CWL ........youre the guy putting all the much appreciated effort in.....dont treat them like babies .....if they cant comply with obvious rules then f........em.......they dont score....end of...... FFS its like over here in the States.....they have a policy of "No student gets left behind"........... so all the druggies,lazies and dumbos all graduate high school, when 50% of them are dumb as rocks..... Thats how 'under-privileged" students are gonna end up running the country........total bullshite. Please do not think I am knocking just making an observation. ATB You have lost me here Capt M...............  To the best of my understanding Agbonlahor is Villas current top scorer in the League, not Bent................... Should two players tie for top scorer then for that fixture an entrant has double the odds of being correct. Also they would only come into play for that specific fixture. So should someone not be able to post for say the Wolves game their top scorer would be selected and so on. Also I may be stating the obvious but you do realise there are points to be gained from correctly predicting the 1st GS in each game played I hope? That's why I keep having to ask people just to be fair. Although as Canny suggests perhaps I shouldn't bother reminding everyone and see what happens. CWL |
