So Jose Enrique spits his dummy...The club offered him the same deal he was on last time but obviously he wants more....He should make up his mind if he wants to stay or go and not keep us all guessing. Ashley isn't going to give you a new deal Jose! Jump ship or get your head down and play for us! Or better yet if money is such a motivator then go join that traitor Andy Carroll at Liverpool...!!

Interesting conundrum this sitiuation between the Club and Jose...... Probably a case of both sides throwing dummy out at some stage, however that is almost an aside to what may really be going on here. First and foremost this is another direct challenge to the way our most benevolent owner operates. One other thing I am under no doubt about what so ever is that this is definitely all about Money! On the one hand a player wanting more for his efforts, no great surprise there I think. While on the other an owner who is quite satisfied to take a large fee for a player, however appears to balk at the idea of offering any of the top earners or those considered important to the side by the team manager, an improved contract to actually keep them. As far as I'm concerned it's still just a matter of when, not if, Jose is finally sold or released from his present contract. CWL

May be best all round that Jose gets his transfer.............. Wor Mikey gets his cash................. APee loses a headache....... and young Fergie gets his opportunity.
Of course this is The Toon so none of the above is likely to happen.

Marky whether I like it or not IMO it's just a matter of when not if Jose leaves.............. As for the lack of ambition well nowt new there under this owner and others in the past who have cashed in on our better players. The day we have an owner capable of matching the passion and beliefs of this Clubs supporters is long overdue. Brief taste of what might have been under John Hall, however even he bailed out when the money was too good to turn down. Without major investment on a huge scale we are like so many others in the Premier League................ also rans, a feeder club and wannabes. CWL

Brief taste of what might have been under John Hall, however even he bailed out when the money was too good to turn down. CWL CWL I don't think we'll ever get an owner that, a) will keep pouring cash on a regular basis on transfers etc b) match the ambitions of the fans The way football is today if you want to get to the top 6 you have to spend shit-loads of cash and no owner is as rich as the Arab at man city...Besides very few will understand the fans and what we expect. No matter which owner takes over they will treat it as a business. To sum it all up...Ashley needs to go and then we have to hope we get the best of the worst possible prospective buyers out there!...
