Yesterday I was singing with the Gosforth Choir at the Civic Centre. A total 64 people were awarded British citizenship. These people have had to prove there worth over many years, and in many cases have suffered thing we can't imagine. Not forgetting dealing with the British Immigration Dept which isn't the easiest thing to do. They also have to pay £800 each for citizenship. I know not everyone will take that view, but as far as I'm concerned it was a pleasure and a privilege to sing for them.
