Couldnt believe the carry on involved with getting Mr Shads back to work recently.
He felt better about two weeks ago and contacted his work to resume his employment but it wasnt quite as simple as that.Because his sick note had advised two weeks previously that he could resume,but with limited duties it was a right carry on.Firstly we had to drive to his place of work for a meeting with the manager in which she basically said he could resume after an assessment by occupational Health which was fair enough.But we waited a full week before receiving a letter advising him they would phone him later on in the week .Why they didnt just ring a week earlier is beyond me.
Anyway-ten days after the manager meeting he was assessed-over the phone -and it was agreed that he could resume.But he actually couldnt-ward manager wanted another doctors note signing him off so we had to arrange to get that before he could resume.Upshot is hes back on Thursday-two and a half weeks after he was fit to resume-couldnt believe how complicated it all is and couldnt believe the phone assessment either
