I was thinking today about how the Internet can have problems associated with it such as Cyber stalking and grooming but by the same token it can have positives also. Ive met people through sites first virtual then in reality that in the scheme of things I probably would never have met and yet the vast majority have just been bloody nice folk And when on the facebook games-yes very sad some might say-Ive also "spoken" to people from around the globe.Yes theres one or two want to troll and ruin stuff but theres also some who get on-and that includes folk from countries we are currently "at war" with-just ordinary people getting by and passing time. It just hit me that no matter how the news stories go when people can communicate amongst themselves there isnt always the boundaries assumed

Yes, on balance I think the web is great for social interaction. Look how it can influence world opinion....all those Youtube videos showing things as they happen in all the trouble spots....too numerous to mention, unfortunately! Obviously it has potential for bad things/evil things but that's mankind for you, again, unfortunately. I still, am in constant amazement and awe about the things happening with this technology.....I often think what my parents would think if they were alive now.....my Dad, in particular thought the simple house phone was the last word in technology....he never really got to grips with it and used to shout down the mouth piece....or occasionally doing the same using the earpiece! ;D
