Kuqi, Kuqi, Kuqi!!!!! February 10, 2011 No Comments by Pasha thirdkit.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/cookie-monster.jpgNewcastle's new striker. Did the physios check for signs of diabetes? Newcastle football club became so excited when some fools from Boston offered them 35 million pounds for a 20 year old player, that they forgot that said 20 year old has in fact scored a fair amount of goals for them recently. Not to fret, the club thought, because as devout fan Dave always reminded, they’ve got Ameobi. He can probably score some goals. Unfortunately for the Geordie nation, arguably one of the most tortured fan bases, you can’t expect too much more luck than 35 million in the pockets of your drunk owner. So, of course, Shola Ameobi is now out with a broken cheek bone. What to do, what to do? So the genius that is Alan Pardew has decided to sign free agent Shefki Kuqi. The Finn, by way of Kosovo, has some experience in the Premiership with stints at Blackburn and Fulham, with most of his time in England spent in the Championship. Since 2008, he’s scored a whopping 12 goals. Pardew gave his opinion on the new signing, stating, “Me want Kuqi!” Premier League defenders also chimed in. John Terry suggested, “Me eat Kuqi!” While Ryan Shawcross simply added, “Om nom nom nom!” ATB

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew can’t wait to spend £35million Andy Carroll cash
Published on Monday 2 May 2011 12:30
ALAN Pardew has pledged Newcastle United will pack a punch at Anfield next season – thanks to Andy Carroll.
United were beaten 3-0 by Liverpool yesterday, the scoreline “flattering” Kenny Dalglish’s side, according to Pardew.
However, Pardew’s confident the £35million fee banked from the controversial sale of Carroll will transform his options for next season’s Premier League campaign.
“That’s very, very important – it’s obvious we need that to happen,” Pardew said.

Same old same old isn't it? Wonder how Cabaye will feel when he realises that Ashley telling him that they were getting new players in was just a lie?

Nothing has changed from the last Keegan spell, absolutely nothing, I am sure it must be having a detrimental affect on the players knowing everything and everybody is dispensable, its criminal. ATB

And many fans are convinced that Ashley is doing good for the club... read an article somewhere that Ashley only looks bad because Llambias is his spokesperson...

Says it all really!!Newcastle seeking Mutch for little cash Wednesday, 15 June 2011 There are doubts over Newcastle United's transfer budget after the club only offered around £3m for the highly rated Toulouse full-back Cheikh M'Bengue, a bid rejected immediately by the French club who rate him closer to £9m. Manager Alan Pardew has confirmed his interest in Paris Saint-Germain forward Mevlut Erding. The club are also thought to be interested in Birmingham City's 19-year-old midfielder Jordon Mutch. ATB

Following the utterings of NUFC's second in command Decka Lambsarse just how much of the £35m do you reckon is left? I read somewhere The Toon have a net spend of £500,000 so far on transfers. Now according to Decka we have also spent possibly £6m - £7m in fees to agents and players to get them to sign. Plus an undisclosed amount on the training ground at Little Benton. Lets for arguments sake say another £2m - £3m.............. giving us a total spend of £10m. Okay lets add to that the small matter of wages................ Putting our main signings so far in Ba, Cabaye and Sylvain Marveaux at the top end of the current wage structure say £35,000 - £40,000 a week. That is some serious money for the length of contracts they are on which I believe ranges from 3 - 5 years. All of those wages will not be paid up front, but just taking the first year into account it still comes out in the region of £6m plus. So again for arguments sake I reckon there's about £19m left of the Carroll transfer fee. That's £19 million to play with regarding signing a minumum of two more players according to APee, possible contract for Joey and increase for Jose............. Should Joey just see out his final year there's no impact on the remaining figure. Should Jose leave the same applies. Lets again say the Club use £4m to sweeten the deal on keeping Jose that leaves them with £15m to play with. What does that actually get us....................? One £10m striker and not a lot else.................? One £7m striker and possibly a cheap £3m left back.............? One £5m forward, a £3m left back and another kid as a future prospect............? Doesn't exactly get me off my seat with excitement. Also makes me wonder just how Decka and co intend to get some of those told to find new Clubs off the Books. No wonder Barton is just sitting tight. Always thought the summer transfer window would be a real eye opener when it came to this regime and any show of true ambition. 56 days and counting............... CWL

Under no illusions about their ability to tell porkies Polly.................. The longer they remain the harder it is to get away with stuff. No matter how much some supporters believe the financial aspect is a positive there are even more who say we will never see it turned into something tangible on the pitch. Why should the next four years be any different to the last four just because Decka says so............. It will now take us winning something under this ownership for me to have a change of opinion and even then I will probably hate myself for showing such a lack of faith in the first place. I'm just unable to see it happening with what I have experienced so far and the garbage coming from Lambsarse doesn't do much for rekindling my faith I will see us back in Europe never mind win some silverware.
