Perhaps the person who came up with the idea has never been hugged in his/her entire life..

The world went mad a long time ago, worse yet it still allows the lunatics to run the establishment, the sheeple elect the cabbagles by matters of worship and the Goots have now taken over.
Stop kids hugging one another, whatever next. Huh dare I ask, separate classrooms for each individual, first the old game of British Bulldog, next Horse Chestnuts at dictat from the EU and now this..
Time the people took back the country for the people and enough of this balmy half baked ideology and quackery, for goodness sake let kids be kids.. Instead of making them pawns of a freaked out nanny state!

Excellent post Whitewolf and I couldnt agree more. A couple of years back I went to see a play at my sons primary school and the theme chosen by the teachers and pupils was about all the things kids can no longer do :(Included in the list were running games, conkers, snowball fights-thoroughly depressing it was. This year the school has had the branches of the trees in the playground cut off in case a child tries to climb them. People are so fearful now of anything happening-and the perception of danger seems much higher. Some people are afraid to let their kids play out in case of abduction even tho there has been no increase in child abduction figures . And when you start getting into the idea of microchipping kids-and Ive seen people interviewed who want this done-then I truly despair.Childhood used to be about having fun but from what my kids tell me us adults have alot to answer for.

Things have got way out of line!! But what gets me is, why the hell does everyone comply??? If everyone just told them to do one, there's not a lot they could do! They also need to get to grips with the "compensation culture" as well, what happened to personal responsibility and just plain accidents? Everything these days have to be someone elses' fault!!!

I think the compensation culture has much to answer for Years back when it was a childs birthday the parents would bring in a cake to school and it would be shared out in class. At Christmas we would all chip in,supplying crisps, sausage rolls, etc and the kids would have a huge Christmas party. Doesnt happen now-we cant take in food because,in the words of the previous head "we dont know where its come from"

And we haven't got hygiene certificates!! Shock horror!! I often wonder why there are still old people about, if you listen to all the things we shouldn't do/eat, the human race should have died off years ago!!!
