Cannyman.Fairscup.LeazesEnder and Clear White Light met up before the WBA game in a solubrious place called the Mile Castle on Sunday............Where do I start? First of all it was great to meet and put faces to the names. Nothing like I expected.....a meetin of grey hair of different lengths and strains.......myself a 5'4" dwarf of 63 with long grey hair.....Fairsy an eloquent international man of ample proportions but not short of wit and made of Norwegian Wood. Leazes ...a bedlington terrier of a man...who never stopped laughing from the beginning to the end........CWL ......reminiscent of a grey haired Buddy Holly with a sense of right and wrong to keep us on our track and not get personal(thats the moderator in him).....Lots of alcohol consumed .....much much much laughter ...so much I cant remember what about...........great to finally meet you guys.........next season repeat without a doubt.

Very worried about Leazes.........the youngest of the group.....obviously needs the benefit of age and experience to guide him through his still formative years......Shows promise but will need guidance........still anybody from Bedlington has a good start.....

Fairsy.......the Norwegian rogue............surrounds himself with young nubile Norwegian gals that obviously fill a void in his expat life..........quick on the draw and likes to legpull.........seems to have had some success in this too......

CWL.........every now and again drops his guard and you get to see the real fun guy hidden away.........like a grey haired Buddy Holly..........lots of class ......mysterious past though...........

Purposely didnt go into too much detail as we agreed.........expect a critique also.........just had such a good time...wanted to thank you all again.....absolute blast.
The game?......................anti-climax.

Took the stadium tour yesterday - Brilliant 90 mins. I've no idea how the guide (John something) keeps his job as he criticizes our "cockney trio" more than we do. Like he said "Anyone who says Newcarsel instead of Newcassel is not fit to manage our team." I invited him along to the forum and I think he was half interested.

Nice One L..........gone are the halcyon days when couldnt afford a taxi and had to get the milk train to Morpeth............then walk the rest.........sorry I missed the second half of training.......nearly fell asleep at the game though. Wheres Buddy Holly? |

I'm still here just had to deal with some unexpected domestics yesterday so didn't get a chance to post anything. Mind you I would be revealing quite a lot to say our Canny friend from across the pond probably leaves me standing in that department. Really good day and for four guys who had never met up other than via Cyber World it was as good as it gets. Certainly up for another one next season or whenever it can be arranged. The game probably reflected the meet. Full of promise with some good entertaining stuff provided by all the players. Then it tailed off with a flurry of subs which didn't add much and some fatigue costing us a late goal plus the North East top dogs title. Mind you as far as the meet goes the fatigue may have been because there were no subs during the training session...........  CWL  |
