We were at Tescos today (again!) and I came across jars of Manuka Honey....normal sized jars ranging in price from £7.95 to £10.95....I would expect specks of gold dust to be mixed in with the honey at that price! . Apparently, on doing my internet research its good for all sorts of things...skin conditions, wounds....you can even spread it on bread & eat it! Its from New Zealand and the bees get the nectar from the Manuka bush, only grown there. The other thing were jars of Marmite in a sort of "presentation case"....different to the familiar easily recognizable jar. Black label with words to the effect that it is "older, more mature Marmite". "Well, well, well!" as Jeremy Kyle says! Anybody heard of any other "Superfoods"....Green Lipped Mussels....that type of thing? Never knew Mussels had lips, green or any other colour, mind!

I like tiger bread too But that extra old marmite sounds disgusting.I like marmite but whenever Ive found an old jar at the back of the cupboard the contents have not exactly been appetising-maybe its that which puts me off.
