Did anyone see the TV documentary the other night about L.S Lowry? He was a real eccentric but what fantastic pictures! I once saw him at Seaburn, Roker, Sunderland at the window of an hotel on the seafront (mid 60's). He apparently did several seascapes around that area. I bet Milky would recognize a lot of his Manchester/NW industrial paintings...cotton mills, etc. coming from that neck of the woods. Attachments:

Indeed I recognise the scene. They portray life as it was in Lancashire superbly.
Sadly his painting as better historical reflection, rather than artistic masterpieces.
That of course is my opinion, and all art (and also music) is subjective.
The Lowry Centre at Salford Quays is well worth a visit.

i have a couple of Lowry pictures im not too sure if they are prints or not but ive had them for many years, never know they may be worth a couple of bob.
