Around three years ago a postman gave June a beautifully professionally make wood plaque. It had the words "June's Kitchen" burned into it. The postman's wife had recently died after a long illness, and was also called June. He wanted June to have it as he was so grateful for all the help and support she gave him. Now my June it also died! People always said certain objects bring then good luck could the reverse be true? Or have I just been watching too many DVD's?

In all probability it was probably just a tragic co-incidence Milkhope but I know what you mean about having bad feelings from things. Years back-when I was fourteen I got given a really gorgeous gold crucifix necklace-but just after that one bad thing after another happened and I was convinced that it had something to do with the necklace to the point that I couldnt wear it at all. All pretty irrational really but I just got a real bad feeling from it

It's all about belief....................which in some circumstances can become a self fulfilling prophecy. Like Shads associating the crucifix with a series of bad events at the age of fourteen to the point the object itself is perceived to be the root cause. Extremely improbable, however it gave meaning to what was happening in her life during that particular period. There were probably dozens of other things also associated with her at that time, but somehow having a pair of shoes which give off bad vibes somehow doesn't hit the mark. Although all things being equal just as likely to have been the root cause if not also just as implausible! Milk I'm unable to say whether you are watching too many DVD's. I guess if you supply a list we could do a critique of them and then offer an opinion. CWL
