You have come in for much criticism from myself and others through the years. Yesterday however you contributed brilliantly towards a fine Toon win. You won almost every ball in the air and scored an important goal. No mean feat so soon after a facial injury and wearing a protective mask. Credit where credit is due. Long may it continue.

And what about the GREAT DANE?!
It irritates me how almost all nufc fans seem to forget his contribution. He scored and put in a beautiful cross for Shola and even hit the post. 16 goals last season as well.
I am a big fan of the great dane.

Løvenkrands was great last season but he didn't score as many as Nolan or Carroll (nor did he play as many games), it looks like he has problems with keeping up with the football at this level now.
He was good yesterday though and deserve some praise.

What more do you want!.... Vitally he picked up second half of the season and scored goals for fun. He played through tragic personal circumstances (fathers death) and demonstrated immense character. Many would have broken at that point. I'm sure none of you would see this. But for the few like me who can will appreciate what this free signing from Germany has done for us. He is the great dane!....

I definetly appreciate what he has done for us and I want him to do good for us.... but I don't see him as a first choice forward. We need someone similar to his playstyle but who is younger and more hungry.

The thread is about Shola, try to stick to the subject, empty house, trouble, springs to mind.

Would that be a Wyn the Leap year? CWL Does anyone remember when Observer, in all seriousness said that Wyn was a homo?. I could have died laughing. I spent several evenings in his company (a couple at Albert Bennet's house) and if Wyn had such tendencies they were very well hidden. An incredibly pleasant chap was Wyn. I seem to remember Observer eventually backing down on this point (If you'll pardon the pun).
