I'd rather have a bonfire in my garden if it was big enough and burn the furniture at least that way I'd be saving myself thirty odd quid. And sod the recycling-I'd chuck all the cardboard and paper on it too .We do our best but now I just feel that the p**s is being taken.I'm sick of all this guilt tripping save the planet stuff-everything just seems to come down to yet another money making scheme and the chance to fleece ordinary folk who are struggling enough

Aye, our council have increased their charges as well They have to recoup the lost revenue from the gov somehow, so yet again Joe Public pays the price!!! From April, the library is starting to charge 50p per request as well, it's going to cost me a bloody fortune!!! I've got £4.50's worth ready to put in already!!!! But TBH, I don't mind, I'd rather that than have it close or hours cut. Give it a couple of months or so, and then we'll really see what this dammed government has done!!
Well Ann, here I am and bloody lucky to be so 5 weeks in ward 19 of the new RVI with a blood infection that left me locked in away from all visitors, unless gowned up, until today I was considered highly contagious, bit like the past reaction to me by those of the old Chron site. Well tonight I have been released with a strict regime of 36 tablets, four times a day and that is on top of those I am already taken. Where did it come from, well the general opinion is from Council created compost, so watch what you are doing when you are potting up your seedlings.
On going through my emails, I came across a one from Mary Glindon MP for North Tyneside, it would appear that Linda Arkley has now decided that £75.000 is insufficient and will now take over as a Mayor/Chief Executive, this done with the blessing of David Cameron, no doubt the £240.000 Chief Executive salary will be much more attractive that the pittance of a Mayoral salary, or perhaps she will also keep that too. It might come as a surprise that the nurse in real life has donated over £60.000 to the Tory Party Coffers, she has come a long way since I first met her when she canvassed for votes in Benton, one wonders what the electorate think of this and whether she was going to tell them.

I'm glad your better supergob. TBH I don't use council compost, we make our own - lovely stuff!!! I thought Linda Arkley was cutting out top salaries to save money??? I'm sure I read that in the Guardian! It sound that all she's doing is "redistributing" it between herself!!!

I can't equate the the drive by councils to encourage us to respect the environment and clean up the area when increasing the charges This can only lead to an increase of fly tipping.
Good to see you back supergob
