Well i didnt explain what its about deliberately to see
who did know.
Its everyone around the world switches their lights off at
8.30 pm .
Its one of these things that are thought up expecting everyone
to take part but like you proved no one knows about it

I won't be observing Earth hour. I'm a bit of a man-makes-all-problems-sceptic. Science shows us that the Earth has went through periods of global warming and global cooling for a lot longer than humans have even existed.

So no, I won't be observing Earth hour... I'll be sitting on my netbook chatting to friends and hoping my lil' sister isn't sick on me again lol

What on earth is the point of people who have access to electricity switching off their lights for a few minutes at a designated time when events in Japan have shown us how little control we have over our planet

And that goes for little sisters too

They dont do what you expect either

The whole Earth Day thing is just a con to perpetuate the man-made global warming myth that is seeing rich people becoming even richer via government grants/contracts. I mean let's face it. All it would achieve is to save us an hour .

I mean don't get me wrong. If I had the ability to cash in on this con I would. In Sicily there are huge EU grants being handed out for wind farms that don't even exist. Tens of millions of pounds wasted - I even heard theories that claimed the mafia were in on the scam!

Earth hour, it was like Blackpool hour when i got home on Saturday the first thing i done was went round turning lights off.

Whenever he got in from work round the house he went turning everything off-mind I'm getting a bit that way myself these days after the last bill we got

I think there are far too many street lights on in the small hours as well!!! And lights in shops and offices! Years ago when I worked in BT in West Moor, they had lights that came on as you walked under them, and went off after you'd passed! I think everywhere should have those! I've noticed a big difference since I put in those bulbs, and started turning everything off at night. They go on and on about not leaving things on standby, and using energy saving bulbs, and TBH I thought it was a load of bull!!! But it really does make a difference to leccie bills!!!!

Yes, I'm a light "scrooge"....I'm a bit obsessed with it....ex wife used to have every light blazing away including an outside light which was on in broad daylight.....all I could think of was the electric bill mounting up!
