Asda 2p a litre cheaper than anywhere else Need the whole price MilkH as I have seen a price range from £1.27p down the coast near Tynemouth to £1.40p on the motorway. Most appear to be about £1.33p - £1.35p on average. Anyone know any lower prices and where? CWL

Wonder if we shouldnt have a new "bargain" section for food offers and cheap petrol Round here petrol was £1.32 at the Jet near Allerdene Sainsburies has got those little multiboxes of cereals on at 99p,Asda-3 packs of buns for £1.50. After the kids flooded the bathroom tonight and I'm watching the water drip off the kitchen ceiling I'm wondering about cheap beer offers right now

I have a friend who works for ASDA head office in Leeds and she was telling about a week ago that ASDA were struggling profit wise. I was at ASDA in Boldon getting my mums shopping tonight and the amount of check out staff sitting doing nothing was amazing. Anyone who has been to the Boldon store will know how big it is and for every check out that was busy 3 were sitting doing nothing ive never seen it so quiet the place is normaly jumping no matter what day it is

Funnily enough I was at the Metrocentre branch last night-too tired to do the rounds I normally do locally. I mentioned to the kids that it was the closest Id ever got parked near to the main entrance-there were loads of spaces Got served straight off too

An interesting note on the biscuits.
I have two friends who work(ed) at the biscuit factory. Basically all one of them did was box up cookies. Imagine his suprise when in one box he was putting "These aren't just any old run of the mill choc chip cookies, these are pop stars wages 35 grand a box M&S cookies" and in the other box he was putting "Happy Shopper 35p for 3 million cookies".
I mean we all know that say Heinz will make beans for Tesco but the say the sauce is watered down a bit and the label doesn't have as much ink on so you can sell it at a cheaper price. But these are the exact same f*****g biscuits except the price different is about 300%.
I remember being in Tesco a while back and this couple (old couple) were stocking there trolley with "Tesco finest" and we're talking one of those deep motherf*****g trolleys not the little flat bed ones, bieing the nosey c**t I am I had a little spy in their trolley and the fella started looking at me with the smuggest face I've ever seen I had to think to myself "are you for real? You've just spent your entire pension on a load of trash you most likely aren't going to eat in it's entirety." What happened to old people having to eat tins of dog food?

Petrol prices go up and no one actually does anything about it. They just fill their Pampers up and do as they're told.

Yes but what can Joe Public do Nick? The last rise, the artics tried it and it did no good!! Maybe all the artics and lorries should try again and bung up all the roads - they'd get my support!! And not just the odd day here and there, but continuously until they bring the price down!

I appreciate what your saying Ann and i agree with you 100% The point i was getting at was stop your belly aching and pay the increase like the rest of us ....Unless you think you can do something about it. As for the lorry drivers i reckon the organisers of the last demonstrations are now marked men and are in no position to do it again

You know what maui-you had me falling off my chair laughing cos you really do just say what you feel and I love your posts for that-so much truth behind things you say at times and I know exactly what you mean here. But we did have to edit a bit We havent got a swear filter on here but since weve got a range of people on here some of it had to be censored a bit and I know you'll understand why
