Just received our census form. And I couldnt believe the length of it-32 pages long Now I dont like answering these types of things anyway-in recent years Ive had to complete,or been asked to complete an awful lot of forms requiring me to put in all manner of personal data-the DLA form being a prime example when I had to reveal some deeply personal information about my two sons to some random person to decide whether they were entitled to any help. Also had one asking all sorts of questions about my three kids that went straight in the bin.I'm getting a bit tired of being asked to reveal more and more information about myself in the name of collecting information. The government already has a good amount of information on me and given that many people are not bothering with truthful info anyway-390,000 described their religion as Jedi Knight last time-I wonder if this really is necessary now

I believe it comes under Cults or NRM's (a.k.a. New Religious Movements). Not sure about where it sits legally within a nations constitution however for Census purposes in many countries it is recognised. Reckon you're safe on the Klingon front although one or two visitors from other planets occasionally frequent forums so I gather. CWL

TBH I don't know what all the fuss is about??? The questions are not very intrusive, I couldn't care less who knows how I travel to work, or how many bedrooms I have at home All this info is available elsewhere anyway, Tesco probably know more about me than what the census is asking ;D If it asked for things like bank a/c, how many I had, and how much (or not!!!) I had in them, which specific illnesses, if any, I had, then that is a step too far. But IMO the questions are fairly innocuous. I've already filled my bit in, took about 5 mins!! ;D And as they are not available to the public for 100 years, I'll be well gone by then anyway

I have, as lots of other people have, found the past censuses (censii?!) very helpful when researching my family tree but other than that I have no strong opinion about them.
