Fass, before answering it would be useful to know why or in what context you are enquiring? CWL

Fass, before answering it would be useful to know why or in what context you are enquiring? CWL I was wondering if anyone had had a good experience in terms of results for a particular phobia, etc.

Go on the internet and look for somewhere, people are sure to give opinions, there could even be a forum. but before asking a question, why not answer the questions you've been asked.

I don't know what i've done to you ,Roma to deserve this irritability you have for me at the moment but i'm not getting into some verbal tennis with you, so let's leave it there.

I was wondering if anyone had had a good experience in terms of results for a particular phobia, etc. Even supposing someone on here had experienced positive results I doubt it would have been just as a direct outcome of any hypnotherapy they received. As with any illness a diagnosis is required before an appropriate course of treatment can be proposed. Just because two people suffer from the same phobia doesn't mean either the cause, or treatment of it, will necessarily be the same, nor work successfully. Suggest you visit your GP first.......... I was talking to our postwoman the other day, and she was saying she went to a hypnotherapist to give up smokng. She said it worked for her (8 months) but that she was wanting to give up, which is half the battle.

Ive never met anyone who had it done. Had it offered but in all honesty I think its a load of rubbish. I think it has a placebo affect. You want to sort something out-some-one gets paid alot to tell you that you aint scared,or you have to give something up-and low and behold-you are relieved of your dilemma. Its more to do with the therapist telling you what you already know in your heart in my opinion. And in terms of phobias seeing some-one dealing confidently with what you fear provides reassurance and re-inforcement hence boosting your own confidence. Thats my thoughts on it anyway
