Ranger today. Not in the team, not on the bench and yet the Danish pastry plays (correction, is on the field) for 90 mins. Why take off Best? What's happening?

Fairsy we simply didn't have the players to make a difference. Best played for nearly 15 minutes when he really should have come off as he was clearly carrying an injury. Pardew did the lad no favours what so ever in my view. He eventually brought on Kuqi five minutes from the final whistle plus three more for added time. Quite why completely baffles me as he should have had at least twenty minutes or more! If he cannot make a difference with twenty minutes to play then sure as hell he will not do it with five to go. Not a good day today...................for team or supporters. CWL

There are murmerings on other forums concerning Pardupe and his use or lack of use of Ranger. One person with support from others suggests our manager doesn't like young Ranger and even asks, "Can this stem from their time together at Southampton?" I found this most interesting since it would possibly explain his preference for the Danish pastry or even playing an out of sorts Ameobi ahead of the lad. Wouldn't surprise me if the pair have had words, in which case, bye bye Ranger!

Not heard anything concrete myself, but have also seen the rumour machine is in full flow............................. Understandable fans will look for answers elsewhere as what comes out of the Club these days is looked upon as very suspect. With many people thinking it's just another pack of lies. The thing is they may actually be telling the truth.....................the Club that is not the fans. My own thoughts regarding the Ranger situation and Pardew is if they did not see eye to eye over things, why didn't they let him go out on loan in January and keep Routledge? Also why not throw the kid in now what have we to lose..............none of the others are setting the place alight with their performances. The fact Best is looking the best of a bad bunch, just about sums it up in the striking department. Far too many things still not quite right some how at NUFC and Gallowgate Towers! Certainly whatever is going on behind the scenes is now being reflected in our results...................as they are a mixed bag as well! CWL
