ASDA normally sell the games on the first 2 days of release at a reduced price and most of the time this is £10+ cheaper than anywhere else, for big games that have midnight releases the ques at ASDA Gateshead can be over 1000 people so they nearly always sell out the first night, as for console reliability a lad my son knows is onto his third PS3 slim.

not had a problem with our ps3 since we got it replaced due to hard drive failure, it's covered by extended warranty till about Novemberish 2013, my sons arcade version Xbox 360 which is one of the first edition ones is still going strong which has amazed me, Microsoft seems to have fixed their problems while Sony are still having some, i still have my old ps1 and ps2 and they are still going strong looks like after these they threw reliability out the window.

Yes our extended warranty runs out in November 2012-just in time for Christmas Again. If the Mayans have their way it wont be a problem

i know exactly how you feel we had a 360 and the dvd drive died on it, phoned up the warranty people got a box with sticker already stuck on and sent it off, it took less than a week to get back but only lasted about 10 mins and it stopped reading discs, mind you they surprised us they came out pretty quick and collected and less than a week later they gave us a brand new 360, hope you get your PS3 back quickly and working.

Im at the end of my tether now-got the console back again yesterday-the boys had about an hour on it when it started playing up again with exactly the same fault it was originally sent off for-The company will be getting a phone call off us first thing Monday morning-Im not prepared to send it again-they can come and get the bloody thing this time and it had better come back in full working order or else I expect a replacement

give them hell let them know how mad you are, if you try to be nice them they just take the p**s, by right if the same fault is recurring they should replace the console, read the extended warranty it may have something about recurring faults.

took the ps3 back with everything in the box as it was when i bought it and they exchanged it straight away for a new one, hope this one lasts, the hard drive is not such a big deal it's easy to replace but while it's still under warrenty im not going to fiddle with it.
