I recently ordered a few things from Amazon and I was foaming this morning at the delivery of them.Postie pushed the cds and games through the letterbox then went merrily on his way-I was in and saw him from upstairs. When I got downstairs there they all were along with one of those red card things.Apparently hed tried to deliver the item but I wasnt in and it needed a signature. And on top of that-I had to leave 48hours from getting the card to collect it. Now that was a blatant lie as I was in-he didnt even attempt to knock. It wasnt a heavy item-just a mic for the computer which probably weighed less than the games-but I'm well miffed-place isnt open Sunday so it'll be Monday when I can get the item I was in to receive today Outrageous.

I dont know how they can get away with it. I mean-its outright lies. And I'm willing to bet my package was sitting in that depo when he put that thing through the letterbox too

a woman from GHD sorting office drove past our house in her van and parked a few doors down, she got out of her van and looked as though she was going to the door a few doors down but no, she sneaked along the grass verges pushed a red card through our door then legged it to her van and drove off, and if you complain about it they insist it did not happen and they knocked, it happens all the time they are a bunch of lazy *#*@*?~;*s.

Must say our posties are very good around here. Shads I'm sure if you went to the sorting office this morning, they'd have your parcel there. On the odd occasion I've had a card, I've gone there the next day and I've had it. It might be a different system over the "watter" though ;D

June worked with them for 20 years and she'd be the first to tell you with a few exceptions, they all make pancake makers......they're a load of tossers.

The amount of tossing going on during the next few weeks is bound to cause a fuss somewhere in this country if not across Europe........................Any idea if the EEC Court of Human Rights has a view on Tossing? CWL

I dont know about the rest of you but we always tip our postie at xmas but in the last 18 months we have had 9 different posties so we did not tip xmas gone. Now the postie turns up with colleague in a van parks up at a central place and they work a larger area. When finished they return to the van to refill their bags and move to another street thats central to the beat they are about to start. The van enables them to carry larger items but if these larger items need a signature it slows them down delivering the letters which gets their boss on their back And since i live in roughly the same area as you shads i would assume the posties work the same way

It probably does nick. And I think you are probably right about the "bosses on their back" thing too.Its just the dishonesty of it-making out an attempt to deliver was made when it blatantly wasnt-gets peoples backs up. They should have another card that owing to time constraints they wont be delivering it and you will have to collect it. I think some companies have forgotton the meaning of customer service. Dont even get me started on our cable supplier who for the second month running shut me services off on Friday night before I'd received the bloody bill again Theyve been told soon as I'm out of contract Im off and there'll be a letter of complaint in the post.Wonder if that'll be delivered
