The sale of Andy Carroll has obviously affected the players, seeing that the fans virtually never take action will the players themselves do it for them? ATB

Interesting thought Capt. Depending upon which newspaper you read and what you choose to believe, certain players like Barton, Nolan, Smith and now Enrique have encouraged Ashley to splash the cash. Oh yes and Pardew

Interesting view about the impact the loss of Carroll has made to the side. You may need to expand on that for me before I get your meaning. IMO most of the players are nothing more than employees or walking transfer fees to Ashley and as much as they can talk it up he will just carry on the way he is. Most of them if they were unhappy for whatever reason would be wanting out the door fast enough without having an owner like Mikey. These guys are well paid for what they do so shouting the odds to an owner about bringing in more of the same IMO doesn't mean a lot as far as our prospects go. After all would they be mouthing off as much if it meant they would not be playing each week because the squad was say like Abu Dhabi Citehs? I would prefer they just kept quiet, pick up the money they supposedly earn and deliver results on the pitch. I also still hold the firm opinion that there's no way Newcastle supporters can shift Ashley unless he wants to go....................... or without actually causing harm to the Club. The thing is I'm also extremely doubtful that second aspect will ever be tested. As a substantial majority of supporters are not prepared to see the Club be put into possible financial turmoil just to be rid of Ashley. CWL

Ashley can't keep turning a blind eye to the fact that we have a paper thin squad. Once he has sold off his present assets for a pretty profit it will take an age to build up again. He would be wise to listen up to those who know better. Will he? Will he hell!¤##"¤

Don't believe our benevolent owner is turning a blind eye to it. More a case of not investing as much in it as supporters would like or believe is necessary. CWL

Thought you would have known that by now The only thing that will PRESSURISE or influence Fatso is,pleny of spondulux offered to the greedy oil slick, which doesn't look like happening any time soon.

A theory put forward by LE47 (on one of our meetings) was a good one in which he said hitting fatso in the pocket by a mass boycott would help. And I agree but (like I told him then) it has to be on a large scale i.e. we need crowds of less than 25K over a period of time to really hit fatso in the pocket. I can't see that happening as the nufc fans won't leave their club. I certainly couldn't stop going to games. And for some it is a way of life. Fatty knows that very well!
