He's not as bad as most think. Have a look at some of his goals, www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3QXJOdXnjY&feature=relatedHe has a good powerful right foot. He's also big and strong and has a physical presence. If the crosses flow in like yesterday against Blackburn Kuqi will thrive. And you have got to admit he has a cracking goal celebration. I want to see him fly in the air after scoring at SJP

I'm not judging him untill I see him play. Can't understand the complains on signing him until the summer though, can't understan why everyone says he is Carroll's replacement, I see him more as Ameobi's backup. And he was the best they could find that was out of a contract.

I agree Seb. I think it's a clever and cheap signing by Pards to help us stay in the PL. We can get rid of him in the summer and use the 35 million in signing a few good players.
But he looks hungry to me. He wants to prove himself. Remember he's 34 and wants one last shot in the big time. Big Sam used to always sign such players who had a point to prove.

As with many of the decisions taken by The Fat Controllers regime it will be the player who ends up getting most of the stick from the boo boys. Kuqi is now a squad member so until he eventually goes I will support him as a Newcastle United player. It's the press saying he is Carroll's replacement and no one else. Providing he can get fit enough to start games he has as much chance of scoring as any of the others we currently have. CWL

He looked like he wanted to play yesterday. I think he'll do well. If they keep putting the ball in the box Kuqi and Best will score.

Magpie/Natt,
My only problem with him is his age (whatever happened to the 5yr Arsenal type plan)!!!!!
As CWL says, he's a squad player until end of May so I too will support him as a Newcastle player.......but if a PENNY of the £35M is spent on the club (in any way shape or form), then I will publicly eat my hat AND Canny's TIN ONE!!!

Leazes lets he realistic we aren't getting all of the 35 million. I say if we get 2/3rd's of it we should be happy. As for Kuqi he's just bought in as backup to Shola. But who knows if he bangs in the goals and he has 2 more good seasons in him it might be worth contemplating keeping him. Lets face it opinions change over a period of time....everyone hated Hughton then we all missed him when we went (as an example). Best is another one

That's my problem Magpie......being realistic!!! Ashley & Llambias haven't uttered a single word of truth since they walked in the door at SJP!!! That is why I want them BOTH out of OUR club A.S.A.P.!!!! I simply don't believe we will see ANY of the cash especially if we DO manage to stay up this season. His gamble would have paid off so no need to spend As for Kuqi, I would be overjoyed if he did a "Sibierski" and proved his doubters wrong

Leazes, I've given up on them two going out. TBH it doesn't seem like they want too. And why should they when there's more money to milk out of NUFC! It's a pathetic situation we fans find ourselves in.
